Noticed some confusing bits on the Network Map regarding Arriva services. The 167 and 168 are shown but their route seems to be missing once you get to Oulton/Woodlesford. The new 140 and 141 are shown but the map doesn't show the correct route for the revised 446. If I spotted these errors there are probably more.

Not true that Arriva are not promoting the 231/232. Full details were in a comprehensive booklet featuring all their changes and including detailed diagrams of the 231/232 routes.

Transdev Blazefield don't seem to call anything 'Transdev.......' so I would suspect 'Transdev Tiger' is out of the question. I'm going with Huddersfield Bus Co and Halifax Bus Co. This fits with Burnley Bus Co etc.

West Riding operated the Holmfirth to Wakefield service for years. As far as I am aware it was never part of Waterloos services.

Having seen a 444 and 446 both showing the destination of the bus as 'Wakefield' with 'Wakefield Line' underneath I fail to see the point of this particularly as neither service runs every 15 minutes. Seems like a waste of time and money to me.

The map isn't accurate. It states Leeds core Network Map - Every 15 minutes or better. Yet the 444 only ever runs every 20 minutes at best. (Non-Covid)

Not actually on the roundabout though. I couldn't understand how it got smacked.

At approximately 1930 I noticed an unidentified VDL SB200 seems to have come to grief near the roundabout at Pinderfields Hospital. Front end severely damaged and police in attendance.

They would appear to be from the batch 6450 to 6484. According to other websites the ones based at Maidstone being in the old Arriva fleet livery.

Arriva split the 44x routes in Wakefield alledgedly due to delays caused in the journey from Leeds. Over the years cross Wakefield services have become almost non-existent with the Dewsbury - Pontefract, Leeds - Barnsley, Leeds - Hemsworth and the aforementioned Leeds- Holmfirth services having been chopped in two. The 484 was actually only a tagging on of the Leeds - Wakefiled section to the existing 484 Wakefield to Holmfirth service when the 482 Leeds - Hemsworth service was chopped. The only cross Wakefield service I can think of now is the 110 apart from local estate services.

Interesting to see how many have disappeared, been combined and in some cases still exist. The 110 is now more frequent than in 1969 but you have to remember that other services which served parts of the route have gone. Also there are a number of indepents that were taken over by West Riding so even more routes that have gone.

Belle isle has indeed been up for sale for some time. The 'waste ground' is for yet more housing.

932 would be a Yorkshire Traction VRT (Leyland engined?) as they worked 50% of the 465 originally a T. Burrows and Sons route. Yorkshire Traction bought Burrows and it became the 99, later combined with West Ridings 90 to become 65 and 465 when routes throughout West Yorkshire were renumbered by the PTE.
Might the ex Bradford Leylands have been at Central Motor Auctions, John O'Gaunts?

That would only be the case if they were timed at 15 minute intervals in Stanley. If they left Leeds 15 mins apart they would not be 15 mins apart by the time they reached Stanley.

Some of us are old enough to remember the number 7 being extended from Hunslet to Rothwell. It lasted a few years then disappeared. I find it difficult to understand the comment about people driving to Wood Lane. In my experience the Rothwell area has always had a high peak traffic though this has subsided in recent years there are still extra 444s and even 446s from Leeds in the evening peak. I'm sure they wouldn't run if they weren't required/made money, particularly as some work empty into Leeds.
