At approximately 1930 I noticed an unidentified VDL SB200 seems to have come to grief near the roundabout at Pinderfields Hospital. Front end severely damaged and police in attendance.

Just noticed now somebody has removed 1461 it off bus times. I presume someone has marked it as permanently withdrawn

Oh my! I hope anyone wasn't injured especially before Christmas. I must admit it is crazy how it wasn't too long since 1621 was in an accident too. I think 1461 will get repaired I just don't understand why people mark them as withdrawn straight away.

Penfold Please don't accuse me of getting addicted to assumptions than real facts, I just have noticed somebody removed it from Bus Times, I never said the bus was permanently withdrawn, but a reason sometimes on bustimes a bus is removed it from the fleet list is that someone ticks the permanently withdrawn box. I never said the bus was permanently withdrawn and I never ticked the box that says permanently withdrawn it was someone else. It was an observation that I made and saw on Bustimes after the accident. He never accused you. Read it carefully.

People just seem obsessed with bustimes of late, yes, it's a useful resource but only as valid as something like Wikipedia.

I took the message the wrong way as usual. I have apologised to him in PM.

I find Bustimes really useful, helpful and reliable for me, yes sometimes there are buses being tracked as 2 different buses on being different routes that's the major issuewith it and a few other issues. Saying that I have been told a few times why that happens. But sometimes I do get a bit obsessed because its the easiest way for me to see workings and I don't go out of my way to Selby, Leeds, ect to see bus workings, if I do post any sightings, I will always put according to BT, just to let people know if the source, and I am happy for people to correct me on that mistake if they want and let me know the true working

Look at First Leeds, they seem to have a few vehicles running on spare machines, including one still logged on as ‘Hunslet Demo Bus’, which was the Demo StreetDeck around 18 months ago.

Totally agree with that with what you've said, as I've been told the same thing before with the machines. Regarding First Leeds, I didn't know they was tracking on Bustimes at all. I know Stagecoach has been tracking on BT for quite a while, but thats about it really.

1461 has been added back to Bustimes and you can see on the map when it was last tracked before its accident

surely a bus thats in an RTA comes out the active fleet until the insurance and police have done their checks, and engineering have fixed it and checked its safe to run.

If memory serves me right 1461 was involved in a similar accident a few years ago. Depending on how bad the damage is it may end up going back to Wrightbus for repair.
