AY 1607 on 220 this afternoon. This must be about the final time these buses will be seen as a misallocation or unusual sighting now. Saw a President and Enviro400 on the 268 "hospital visitors' service this evening when 16xx Volvo B7RLEs are usually used. Have the latter moved? 1108 & 1112 were both on the 229 today. 1107 left Heckmondwike depot @ 5pm running empty towards Dewsbury.

Seen some Belle Isle drivers at dewsbury bus station taking the Lowlanders away. Does this mean Wakey are getting all the lowlanders? And just a quick question, has anyone seen 1402 recently? Thanks. 1607 was on the 220 today. There seems to have been at least one out on the 220 every day this week.

Not seen any Heckmondwike ones out yet.
There were a few in the depot at 5pm:
1536 (OBL), 1544 (OBU), 1545 (OBV), 1547 (OBX), + one at the back either OBM or OBW in reg - depot was dark! + one in the other building near the pits, probably 1538 or 1540. Not all looked to have route branding on. The one near the pits definately didn't.

1536-48 new @ HE (no sign of 1540-8 yet ?) 1540 is at Heckmondwike depot. At least 1541/2/4 are at Belle Isle. Will be shame to see the Spectras go from Heckmondwike, made worse them being replaced by the Lowlanders and some B7RLE's going as well

Thanks. Excellent photos, Many thanks for posting the Arriva Cymru ones. (A particular fave fleet of mine). I like the run over to North Wales. You can get round a few places in a day. Also wanted to see the open toppers. I like the Olympians in their current livery.

X61? (I think) it ran through Cleckeaton. Yorkshire Traction ECW bodied coaches on it. All the luggage racks & windows used to vibrate!

Heard today some of the 440 batch are going to the North East (May be Scotland) North East are currently getting a lot of new vehicles, so may be not likely? Scotland would make sense as I guess Arriva may swap some of the newer vehicles (Not that they have that many up there!) so they can retain them after the sale.

Gemini's outside at Belle Isle this morning were: 1508 / 1510 / 1513 / 1514 / 1516 / 1517 / 1518 1521 / 1522 / 1523 1537 (229) & 1544 (254/255)
Still not seen any later than 1544, wonder if they may be 254/255 branded when they turn up? Also not seen the last few Belle Isle ones, wonder if they may be branded of 126/127 as I assume BI will also put Gemini's out on this?
There was a row of 7 Gemini's in the yard at Dewsbury. The end one was 126/127 branded. I assume this is the full Dewsbury batch for the 126/7. There were a lot of double decks in the yard / depot building. At least 1 of the 18xx batch was there.

Thanks for the welcome.
I have set up a Flickr account, so will be putting a load of photos on there as & when I get chance. I got a new camera the middle of last year, so there are a few decent photos (IMO!).

It looks like all the routes may end up having the same colour green Connecting branding! so far 229, 268 and now 126.127 are all green! It appears to be the new National branding colour as it is the same as that on the Route 116 Streetlites down at Southern Counties too! I don't see the point in branding them if they are using the same colour for all of them. At a distance they all look the same - at least the First ones stand out more with different colour "lines". Also there seems to be an inability to put them out on the correct routes anyway. You can guarantee when Heckmondwike get the Geminis that the vehicles branded for 268, 229 & 254/255 will all end up mixed up on the routes. The Eviros are already out on 229's regularly.
