197 was in Wakefield bus station today - didn't notice what service, so perhaps it was a staff bus? Can't see why it would be in service when there are presumably more spare buses on Sundays. Saw it in Dewsbury this morning, but didn't notice what it was out on. Arriva Dewsbury couldn't even manage to provide the advertised 1535 for the Dewsbury Bus Museum free shuttle. Instead providing 1810. 1535 was out on the 126/127. Can't see why? It wouldn't have made any difference putting the Olympus out on the 126/127.

I agree there should be some sort of charge on these town circulars. It's wrong using funding to take people round town, but then cut it elsewhere leaving some more rural areas with little or no services. Must cost Metro a fair bit every year running the various town buses. They will say they are valid as they are popular, they will be due to them being free! Even at 50p a time there will still need to be a fair bit of money needed to balance the books. They are contributing to obesity by discouraging people from walking

I've found Arriva & Transdev to be the worst / least accomodating. Stagecoach better than First. Most independents are fine throughout the country. It does differ by region as some people are more sociable than others, so can be down to the individual rather than the company in some instances.
I've also found that if it's just the numbers you are after then depending on the depot layout you can get a lot of vehicles by simply making your way to the office to ask permission, which you may already know you won't get! First at Bramley is a good example as you have to walk past a fair bit of the depot to get to the office and then walk all the way back again!

Seems to be difficult getting round depots these days due to all the H&S issues, insurance etc. At one time you could get round most depots. I guess it's pot luck now. If you pick a quiet time (Not a lot of vehicle movements) and drop lucky with who is on duty you can get round some depots. As you note a hi vis vest is a must these days. The smaller independants are more amicable, I've found it difficult to get round Arriva depots, easier with First. Also some will take you round but are not always happy for you to take pictures. I guess it's because they don't want any evidence that they have let you in!
Some companies will let you round if you write to them and pre arrange a day / time to visit.

I like Go Ahead. Nice modern well turned out fleet. Good that they retain local identities and liveries. Plenty of variety of vehicles across their fleets.
As noted previously they seem to have been snapping up a few companies recently. They have also expanded their existing fleets with a lot of contract work wins, notable ones being on the Isle Of Wight & the Wilts & Dorset areas.

The bus you probably saw on the X6 may of been 37062 as the '2' could look like a '5' from a distance. 37045 Is Halifax based Gemini with no branding 37062 is a hunslet park bus not bradord According to the SOES fleetlist for FWY 37058 is the only one branded for 645. Unusual sub on X6. Usually one of the 3709x batch when not an X6 branded one. 69320 is also out regularly.

Does anyone know where & when the Stagecoach north west open day is this year. I can't find details anywhere. It's usually the bank holiday at the end of May, but may be early June this year due to the bank holidays moving?
The only thing I can find online is a suggestion that it will be at Lillyhall, but no dates mentioned.

Looks ok. I prefer it to the original design.
Like most designs it will probably look good in some liveries and not so good in others. Looks good in the mock up Centrebus livery.

It seems the people unable to log on since last week are all Pro users with BT internet log ins. The link went down after Flickr had a server go down.

They have finally fixed the problem so I can get on for the first time since last Wednesday. Can't believe it's taken them so long to fix it. Looks like thousands of people haven't been able to get on.

Got a text today saying the last day for the last few Ikarus is 11th March. Not the best buses, but will miss them as they add variety. Hope they are out & about on the 11th as I will be going to Dewsbury for the bus museum open day. Would be nice to get a few photos of them.

Will 1548 be a 12 plate bus, or will it retain it's booked YJ61 OBY plate? The Dewsbury Bus Museum website suggests it may well be a 12 reg now. A bit odd how this hasn't turned up yet as most of the others were delivered a good number of weeks ago. Other fleets have been getting their deliveries recently such as Arriva NE. would have thought they would finish the AY order first especially when it's only missing 1 vehicle!

The Abbeyways coach seems to have gone!
X47CNY dissapeared last week, but appeared this morning in overall black - except the roof (Including what I assume are some sort of air con units) still yellow! This vehicle is listed in Buses March fleet news as going to Ultimate Coaches of Stockton via Ensign, Purfleet.

Yes it was announced a few months ago that they had ceased trading and handed the route and buses over to lyles Thanks. Must have missed that! Surprised they continued after getting rid of the coaching side of the business.

Have Longstaff's ceased trading?
I notice on the latest PSV Circle news that the 2 B7RLE's have gone to Lyles, Batley. Are they now running the 205?

Anyone else having problems logging into Flickr?
I haven't been able to log in for a couple of days now.
It just keeps asking me to "verify password" constantly. Stuck in a loop!
Looking on the Flickr forum it seems to be affecting quite a few users. Seems to be a problem link between Flickr & BT Yahoo.
My BT Yahoo e-mail is working fine and has the same ID & Password.
I've tried different browsers & cleared cookies etc.
Anyone have any ideas?

Arriva ALX300 in First Halifax depot early tea time. Could be 466. Saw it running out of service heading out of Brighouse on Wakefield Road around 5:30pm today.

1905 on the 220 this afternoon. I don't see E400's on this route very often.
