Perhaps these new ticket machines can't come sooner enough going off what was said on Twitter today. First West Yorkshire have tweeted that anyone buying a FirstWeek ticket today (23 February) will have a expiry date of 00 March 12, rather than 29 February 12. First have re-assured passengers that the ticket is valid til next Wednesday. twitter.com/#!/FirstWYorks_bus/status/172598499916001280 Those tickets could be a collectors item!

The Centros could be ex Arriva North East as they had 4 x 58 Reg, no's 001-4, which I believe some if not all have returned to Arriva Gomersal. I saw at least one of them there about a month ago, there was at least another one there as well.

It was chaos last Thursday when I went into Leeds. Traffic was queing for ages.
As noted in a previous post very little work was being done on the closed section of carriage way. They should have to work round the clock to get it finished or do the work over night and re open it during the day when it's in such a key place.

They should put them on a route to PVS with no return journey. I don't like the design and they were far too expensive.
Double decks over bendies any day in the UK. Bendies are for mainland Europe.

selby due 16 new buses i got told today by my manger.... B7 (675 to 692) goin to wakefield replace (624 to 641). Very interesting, any idea when this will be happening or what the new buses will be? I presume they'll be double deckers as Selby needs DD's for school runs thats why we have so many. Some of the Presidents have only just gone to Selby from Heckmondwike! Perhaps the Lowlanders will go to Selby eventually, with some of the new Pulsars to Heckmondwike? At present Heckmondwike seems to have a lot of double decks.

The Abbeyways coach will be SIA 743 (ex H608 TWA) and it has been there over 18 months (I've taken one bus there twice during that period). Unlikely to run again then! Thought F&G would want it off site. It may as well be dumped up at Hove Edge with the other Abbeyways non runners!

I'll hold my hand's up and admit to being thick, But where is this mysterious hidden "F" ?. I've seen a good few photo's and image's of the new livery, But i genuinely cannot suss this out. Is it more obvious seeing it in the flesh?. All i can see is disjointed grey line's on the side. Im willing to accept help on this one. I agree. I've seen the photos & the real thing and can't see the f!

Arriva Cymru has a small batch of ALX200's based at Llandudno also "P" reg and there are no plans for the withdrawal of these yet. Sadly according to the latest issue of Buses mag 3 out of 4 of the Llandudno ALX200's have gone for scrap. Heres a picture of some of them taken a few years ago at LJ: www.flickr.com/photos/clifton009/6824540785/

A few vehicles have been in F&G DAF, Leeds Road, Huddersfield over the last few weeks, I assume they do testing etc?
L401CJF - Dart - Plaxton - Yellow school bus - Stotts, Milnsbridge
UID - Mercedes - Plaxton Paramount - Abbeyways - Been in for quite a few weeks now.
X47CNY - Volvo B10M - Plaxton Paragon - Ex Stagecoach 52534, in yellow & blue (Scottish Citylink style colours), looks a bit tatty, a few patches been done on the bodywork - This vehicle appeared last week. Still has stagecoach number on, but no fleetnames.
UID - Routemaster - In London red.

Saw some of the Leeds 371xx batch out today in the new colours. They don't look too bad. The main base colour looks better than I expected.

It's suggested in the latest issue of Buses mag that the York FTR's are going to have a refurb and be transferred to West Yorkshire.

AY DAF Ikarus 56 out on the 278. They are always on it. Not recently and they are meant to be "pool". Surprised they are still in use with the ALX300 & B7RLE's Dewsbury have now.

Will be interesting to see what the 40 Pulsars replace.
ALX300's ;D MPD's ? s/e Spectras ?
Would seem silly getting 83 new vehicles in a year and not get rid of the step entrance Spectras? Surely the fleet will go all low floor?
NB - Not that I'm saying I want the Spectras to go!!

A lot of changes on the fleetlist referred to on the Dewsbury Bus Museum website.
A lot of "Pool" vehicles. Incl 20 x ALX300, 4 x DAF/Ik, 7 x Volvo/Wt, 26 x ALX200 = 57 vehicles?
No ALX300's at Hecky?
A lot of double decks at Hecky, including all Lowlanders!
