I heard that there is the T*** SFS ones at Hunslet Park but are probably for Bramley. Well 60065 and 60068 are on S registered number plates. Why do Fwy want more scanias? 60065 is T823SFS & 60068 is T826SFS unless they have been renumbering these. The S***AEH ones end at 60063 on my list. I've even seen a photo of 60068 confirming this reg. Ex Yorkshire Rider 8193 & 8196, so maybe they're coming home?

I think the 695 was a Bradford - Bingley service back in the WYRCC days According to Keith Jenkinsons 1977 book on West Yorkshire the 69x series of routes were as at 1-9-77:- 690 Bradford-Bingley-Priesthorpe Lane-Eldwick 691 Bradford-Bingley-Mornington Road-Eldwick 692 Bradford-Wilsden-Bingley 693 Bradford-Wilsden-Bingley (limited stop) 694 Bradford-Cottingley-Bingley 695 Bradford-Denholme-Harecroft-Bingley 696 Bradford-Denholme-Cullingworth-Bingley 697 Bradford-Denholme-Keighley 698 Bradford-Denholme-Haworth 699 Bingley-Duckworth Lane From the 27 March 1977 Metro Timetable for the Bradford District, which cost a whole 15p to purchase, I can echo everything above. The 693 did not stop between Bradford and Rosedale Avenue. This 695 only produced 4 journeys a day to Bingley and 5 to Bradford Monday to Saturday. To add to this, at the time there was also a 604 which had three buses an hour peak time between Bradford & Dewsbury via Birstall. This was operated jointly by Metro Bradford & Yorkshire and provided a bus ever 30 minutes in conjunction with the 603 for the rest of the day. A deviation between these two routes appears to have been in the Birkenshaw area and in addition, the 604 did not serve Birstall Market Place as the 603 did.

I live on the 760 route and we do still get our fair share of Olympians, the 11.18 Leeds bound at Thackley is nearly always one, 963 today.

The Metro website has said for some time that the details of all Christmas, New Years and Boxing Day services will be published there today.
Only four hours of today left and I would image they have all gone home for the day. Nice to see that it is not just the operators who are guilty of running late!!
Am looking forward to seeing the plans for my local 760 route this year, hope it's going to be run by First Leeds on Boxing Day again.

I don't know if this is an old link or if the details have been posted previously but this appears to be offering free bus travel on First in Leeds or York for a week if you are a resident in one of these areas. I can't apply to see if it works as I'm in Bradford. www.freebusticket.co.uk/Seems to be current, T&C state applications must be made by 7 December 2009.

31769 was working in Bradford at the end of October but I haven't been into town recently so it may have moved on since.

The map on the First Bradford website also includes separate colour coding for all routes but I think is just for clarity rather than official route branding. In fact there would be no point branding the 610-612 and 613/4 separately as these route interwork and any bus carrying branding would spend a good proportion of it's time on the wrong route.
Also the map shows the 810 which has also disappeared. Time to update the website I think!

I believe one or two of the RH Alexanders have been moved to Bradford also. 31818 is currently being prepared for transfer to Bradford and should be going early this week. Did this bus go back to Leeds as I took a photo of it running the Bradford depot shuttle bus on 2 October, see earlier post?

66709 appears to have been transferred from Bramley to Bradford - seen yesterday on 670. After 66710 etc were moved last month, it was odd to leave the sole 53 plate B7RLE at Bramley, so this does make some sense. 66708 is also in Bradford, it was on the 747 today

65800

Post by sharksmith on Oct 6, 2009 7:54:24 GMT 1
All previous posts indicated that 65800 would only be in Bradford for around three months. With all the recent transfers, I thought it had gone last week, but saw it again yesterday on it's normal 607 run. It is therefore now in it's fifth month in Bradford.
It appears therefore that the evaluation may have been extended and seems likely that the oldest B10BLE/Renowns which are branded for the blue line may be replaced soon. This especially so as newer Bradford Renowns are already being transferred to Halifax/Huddersfield.
Has anyone heard how the tests have gone, whether Scania's are likely to be ordered/transferred in from other First operators, and when replacements may arrive?

If there is so many spare geminis then why the step entrance on 15/72? And they now have several ALX400 as dedicated school buses so surely they would be drafted in if there was such a shortage? And which Royale was on the 15 as Bradford don't have any.... I presume this is the Royale mentioned earlier, this picture taken around 3.15 yesterday. www.flickr.com/photos/35759580@N03/3969969022/

It was Saltaire festival yesterday afternoon and there were many road closures in the village and a huge number of visitors to the many festivities, it was very heavy going around there for most of the afternoon.
The 760 wil have got stuck two ways, as usual down Leeds Road into Shipley and then again at Saltaire Roundabout.

66715 is still here, was on the 9 this morning. Yes, as are most of the batch. 66711 has been removed from Bramley, and is being prepared for service in Bradford. The others may follow in due course!! 66710 is now in service at Bradford, is operating the 610 group of services today.

760's will be running late for the next few weeks as the bottleneck at Carnegie lights in Shipley has been made twice as bad by roadworks. These are due to last about six weeks and mean a traffic jam of about half to three quarters of a mile at even off peak times.

Taken from another forum
'The problem with the X84 is that too many vehicle's were branded, 12 were done for 10 all day boards, so there is usually one or two that creep on to other workings, the plan I believe is for 69311-14 to have the X84 branding removed and replaced with branding for Service 28'

Having been on loan at Wells in June and then disappearing for a while Volvo B7RLE 69485, YJ09NYY is now in service in Bradford, was on the 617 yesterday and 675/7 today.
Also, this week is the first time I've actually seen 69484 and I've been looking for weeks so, unless someone else has seen it before this week, it may the first week in Bradford for this bus too.
This should complete the full set 69466 to 69485 in service.

Been looking through my old photo's. 5065 had Bradford Explorer bus overall livery, 5066 had a livery to promote a major set of route changes on 26 October one year, it was called Buswise with Metro. Also before delivery to Bradford 5011 had Leyland Olympian demonstrator while it was touring the country.
