I'm only guessing but Halifax and Huddersfield should be getting Eclipse 2's within the next few years shouldn't they because I heard off someone that there is going to be a £500,000 investment of new buses in Halifax and Huddersfield in the next few years and First have started to get rid of the old style eclipse body and started purchasing the Eclipse 2 Body instead as can be seen here: alistair268.fotopic.net/p61000085.html

Any orders for 2010 planned. You are aware that FWY have just received about 5 million new buses this year, meaning they are almost 100% low floor excluding school services? Therefore I doubt there will be any new buses next year

Therefore I doubt there will be any new buses next year The order was value at about £5mil. Although they wont be paying out £5mil as all their motors are leased. And i'll hold you to there not being any new buses next year

Surely York must get some B9TL's to replace ALX400's on the 1's.

I don't think any orders will specify 'Halifax and Huddersfield' anymore, that ship has sailed. Any new orders will be for 'West Yorkshire'
FWY could have allocated some Geminis to York this year as part of their massive order but they didn't, so they obviously don't see it as a priority.

Shame Leeds has no Striders left, not even as trainers.

There is a Alexander Strider in Leeds now, Volvo B10B/Alexander Strider driver trainer 61363 L304VSU which has arrived from York to Bramley. (Info in West Yorkshire Buses Website).

York surely can't manage with just 1 training bus.

First Bradford Leyland Olympian/Northern Counties 34621 K621LAE looks as though it has been transferred away from Bradford as it passed me in Halifax Town Centre yesterday afternoon on its way to Skircoat Depot. I am told it has been seen at Hipperholme this morning on schools.

I have just heard that the Streetcars currently operating in York are leaving shortly and going to Leeds. Does anyone know if this is correct?
