To be honest I'm glad if this is the case. I think they can definitely come up with a better name and branding style for the high frequency routes. I totally agree with you. The word pulse simply does not work and the whole thing looked a mess. Hope the idea has been ditched.

Are the heritage repaints on hold?

I wondered what had happened, will be a huge amount of vinyl involved plus the effort of applying it too.

No sign of pulse rebrand, has this been delayed?

It appears that Pulse is going to be at Hunslet Park only with a different brand for Bramley according to the Leeds Buses facebook page, do we know if this is true? Seems a funny carry on. i think the pulse branding looks poor, surely they can come up with something better than this.

Who dreams up these "brands"! One thing we can be sure of is that whole lot will be binned within two years if past experience is anything to go by. The new quality contract regime will kill pulse off! Metro will impose their own brand.

First really struggle with branding, always half baked. Since 2001 we`ve had the Overground, Turn up and go, Superbus, elite, ftr, HyperLink, Super Sevens. In theory good ideas but sadly there is never the will to see it through with First and the whole thing falls apart. I wonder what brand we`ll be treated to next. Let`s just paint the Leeds fleet green and have done with it

Maybe we should ditch the branding altogether and just paint the buses in a unique livery for each area.

Printing error or not, First Leeds are due some new rolling stock. quite a few buses need to go this year. The artics have to go in November, possibly due to DDA compliance new rules.

Actually painting the area around the front destination display has really changed its appearance, looks better for it

I know the Leeds City Transport light green livery is coming next. Would be nice to see the Bradford South Sea blue and ivory livory appear. First Manchester have buses representing every municipal livery and so does South Yorkshire and they look stunning. What about Metro verona green and buttermilk too

Yes the HST`s are to takeover from class 170`s on internal Scottish Inter-City routes. A few wouldn`t go amiss on the Trans-Pennine routes either, they would be ideal crowd shifters. Refurbished of course, they would be far better than a DMU despite their age.

69582 still at work in Leeds, out on route X33 tonight, is this a permanent transfer?

The figures for new build vehicles against scrapping of Pacers in the North just don't stack up. And where are the additional bogied cast offs going to come from? Then there is the issue of where the new units will come from, the leasing companies aren't looking to supply any, so who is? There is actually nothing wrong with the Class 144 units, they are in a far superior condition, both internally and externally, than most Northern dmu fleets, never mind the Class 142 units. The Class 144 units have been tarred with the same brush as Class 142 units which is very unfair. The suspension isn't the best, but is far better than when built. The interior colours aren't the best, but it would be hard to find seats as good, but we'll have to see how good the Porterbrook rework is, as this is an area where they could really mess up. West Yorkshire passengers have been fortunate to have the Class 144 units, and it would be a backwards step to have poor quality Class 15X units replace them. Here Here! I could not agree more, the class 144 units knock spots off the awful, noisy Sprinters! The prospect of the old London underground trains turning up fills me with dread too.

Are the Halifax Eclipse 2`s moving to Leeds? One appeared on route one in Leeds. No, 69582 was at HP for MOT but was evidently used in service whilst it was here. Hunslet Park are getting their use out of it, still out on route 1 in Leeds this morning

I remember Black Prince having issues with the traffic commissioners and when they had their vehicle allocation cut they set up a new company using the Leeds City Transport brand. They modified the Leeds Coat of Arms to get around copyright! I think they replaced the hanging ram with a Leyland Titan PD3. Outside the box thinking, brilliant!

Cannot believe LCC will object to the coat of arms going on the bus. Looking forward to seeing both buses out on the road.

A huge number of 170 Turbostars will be freed up by the Glasgow/Edinburgh electrification project as well as conversion of all Scottish inter-city routes to HST operation around 2018.
