Floodwaters around Hunslet Park depot tonight, buses still inside.

Swap for a hybrid for type learning for the guided bus way in Leigh? Yep, 39224 has gone the other way. The Manchester Gem is 37402. Thanks for clearing that one up for me! In the windscreen it has a notice "On Hire to First Leeds".

First Greater Manchester Gemini on the 97 today, do we have a vehicle shortage at Hunslet Park?

FTR Use

Seems a criminal waste of money after all the work refurbishing them. Route 1 between City Square and Holt Park would be perfect for these buses with a host to deal with all the students.

Ironically route 1 would suit FTR`s with a host between City Square and Holt Park, artics worked well on this route which bodes well for the articulated trolleybuses should they ever appear.

Why was the cream not done around the destination box on this bus? The other three heritage repaints look so much better for the colour in place of the black on the destination screen.

Do we know what route 37732 is out on tomorrow?

Fusions are being withdrawn in November I believe, according to a reliable source,

Well done First for yet another superb heritage livery. I would love to see the original Leeds trolleybus livery of white, yellow and chocolate brown carried by a Leeds Olympian in the 1980`s, was it 5035. It looked superb. Does anyone else remember it?

So Leeds City Council doesn't apply the same rules in the same way as others, interesting....................... Don't actually think they own the coat of arms rights. A private company owns it, from what I understand This is all so ridiculous, the Hyperlink buses carry the Leeds coat of arms on the glass, should they be removed for copyright reasons too! A way around this is to paint a bus in LCT colours with a white Metro Leeds fleetname instead. Many buses ran in LCT green with Metro fleetnames so it would be authentic.

Any information on the Black Prince Running Day, not heard about this? Used to love travelling on route 54 back in the 1980`s, you never knew what type of bus was going to turn up!

The artics are still operating on route 1 today, I was told by senior management last year that they would go this November, that`s if they last that long. Who remembers the plan to run the ex-York FTR`s on the Headingley route? There are 10 Swansea FTR`s without a home from 1st September, could they be Leeds bound? It would make a lot of sense to keep them all in Leeds.

I caught one last night by the station and the weird engine sounds were not healthy, 15 years is a good lifespan for any bus especially an artic.

If you consider First Leeds tried to offload all it`s Hybrids onto Manchester and stated it won`t be buying anymore, then these electric buses could definately be a one off batch

The Swansea fleet was supposed to come to Yorkshire eventually, Route 1 would be a good candidate.

Are the hybrids getting a new livery with pulse in green applied?

Saw what I assume is a Halifax 13 plate saloon on the 97 yesterday morning heading for Guiseley from Leeds.

This branding certainly enlivens the front end of the buses, improves the rather banal front end livery treatment, I like it

25 of the streetdecks are going to Rotherham, good to see Euro 6 engines bought on this scale. I wonder if the streetdecks will feature the new front and glass staircase panels.

The older Gemini B7`s are getting pulse branding now, saw one on Route 1 this morning, will there be a single deck version of Pulse?

The Pulse branded buses are already appearing on the wrong routes that aren`t every ten minutes! Saw one on the X84 today! Saying that the branding is certainly eyecatching, looks better in real life.

It`s not in First`s interest anymore to keep old bangers on the road in places like Halifax and Bradford. The new city regions will have responsibility for transport with powerful elected mayors just like London. Instead of just Leeds it will actually cover the whole of West Yorkshire plus York. George Osborne is pushing these through starting with Greater Manchester.

Something rather different scheduled to go through the paint shop over the next couple of weeks. A rather different heritage scheme for something a little different. This sounds interesting, I wonder if it`s like the Halifax livery they did, a new twist on old colours

These heritage repaints are worth their weight in gold from a public relations point of view, the Yorkshire Rider bus draws attention where ever it goes. First need to improve their profile now that some of their most lucrative companies could find themselves bidding for "Quality Contracts", Manchester will be first and I can see West Yorkshire going the same way. Do we know when the Pulse roll out is happening?
