A good chunk of routes under FWYs registration are due for a timetable revision. 356, 541, 576, 521, 508, 302, 579, 358, 328, and finally... the 537. I've always found that the winter months are usually some of the worst for cuts so hopefully this isn't the case... bustimes.org/licences/PB0000815

so i take it 184 is now carrying on after 10th December Yes, apparently it was down to miscommunication with GMPTE/Bee Network what's now been sorted & the 184 will continue as currently.

508 possibly going back to using Stanningley Road instead of the bypass.

508 possibly going back to using Stanningley Road instead of the bypass. Wasn't first dead set on keeping it the bypass way after all the petitions? I feel as if it will just be reliability improvements for that route. I wonder what the rest time is end to end. It doesn't seem long enough.

I was hoping a sensible timetable change to services 1 and 1B would be taking place, at the moment both run close together at peak times with large gaps, mind you since the timetable change in September (that wasn't registered by the way) both services have lost custom between Beeston and Leeds.

I'm convinced a lot of services have declined after recovering from the pandemic due to silly decisions. The 180s are on a definite decline

508 possibly going back to using Stanningley Road instead of the bypass. No, it's just a timetable variation.

508 possibly going back to using Stanningley Road instead of the bypass. No route change is registered, so it's either minor timetable adjustments or frequency reduction/journeys cut.

I'd like to hope they've seen sense with the 508 and put it back up to every 30 minutes or extended the timetable later into the evening, though that seems unlikely.

We have this every time, people come up with lots of ideas and rumours of massive changes and in the end it is just “timetable changes to improve reliability” in about 90% of cases

Could even be doing a reverse uno card to help with their campaign for an EP+ I don't think there is any harm in speculating.

The majority of the first ones will be the uni holiday temp changes.

The majority of the first ones will be the uni holiday temp changes. Are they not just part of the standard registrations, rather than needing two changes every holiday and return?

I know, but aren't they usually part of the standard registration to avoid paying for an extra 4 registrations a year?

Been told by management going every 30 min apparently It did seem odd to give it the fastest route it's had in years and halve the frequency at the same time.

Been told by management going every 30 min apparently do you know if it's commercially or via BSIP funding? I would hope commercial. It would not be a good use of funds compared to literally any other route run by First Halifax. The 508 has to be the least deserving bus route.

The 508 has to be the least deserving bus route. I'm not sure that's a fair assessment. Ignoring what depot runs it, it links a number of Bradford districts to Leeds (districts that have had city route cuts so it's not as easy to go into Bradford to connect for a train or X6/72) plus as one of 'Network Norths' objectives is to provide better bus links to industrial areas the 508 is the nearest bus to Newhall and gets fairly close to the new one at Thornbury.
