Looks like most of the Darwen Olympuses are now branded for the 202/203.
Noted 1809 & 1814 out today. All the other ones I saw out on the 202/203 were branded.

Well that's it, All gone!. Last of an era. When the new Pulsar's arrive it looks like the end of another era. Ie, the first new Arriva buses to go, the ALX300's. Is it just me, or does time really seem to be flying by?. Maybe it's an "age" thing. Time does fly by! But I guess they have served their time by modern day standards. Vehicles don't last as long as they used to, they are treat no differently to anything else in our throw away society. Even if they are still capable of doing the job changes in legislation mean the end of things prematurely these days.

Olympus 1800 now has 202/203 route branding. So too does 1805 Just seen both 1800 & 1805 out today. Also noted 1546 with 254/255 branding. This was running without branding initially, with only 1544 & 1545 being branded for 254/255.

Can we be sure it's the end for them? The DAF Ikarus are still running, saw 11 out today. These were never with Yorkshire Woollen I know is was meaning that the DAF's are still running even though they were meant to have been withdrawn, so perhaps the Darts may live on a bit.

I would like to see a Alexander Strider model produced, Scania N113 or Volvo B10. I think an Arriva Yorkshire B10 Strider would be a great model! That or a Northern Counties Olympian. Rider K1YRL in Superbus livery.

Just zoomed in on the pictures I took at Heckmondwike on Sunday as there were some Lowlanders in the background. 1602 & 1608 still have names on. 1603 & 1610 don't.

That explains why I haven't seen it for a while. Haven't seen 1403 for a while either so that's probably getting the new branding too It doesn't take that long to put branding on, a few hours at the most. Penfold And a few minutes in service from BI for it to be allocated to the wrong service

Arriva Belle Isle Commander 1400 complete with New Hemsworth Route branding had failed in Wakefield Buis Station this afternoon on route 481 just after 15:30 More money wasted on route banding a BI vehicle!

The batch of Lowlanders 1600-1613 all carried names above the doors. The recent repaints in the batch have had theirs overpainted. I have the full list if you want them No it's ok thanks. Just never noticed before! Guess it's because I see the offside of buses more than the nearside! Is there a theme to the names?

Just noticed from a photo that I took on Sunday that Arriva Yorkshire 1609 carries a small name in sandstone colour above the doors "Oakwell". I assume this is unofficial? www.flickr.com/photos/clifton009/6827191808/Made me wonder what other unofficially named vehicles are about in West Yorkshire.

Posting a comment on another topic earlier got me thinking about some other 'missing buses'. Or, to put it another way, 'buses that never were'. And wondered why, in the AY fleet, there was never a Dart MPD 222. ALX300 444, ALX400 660 666 and 670. And finally, Plaxton Presidents 680 and 690? They can't get matching registrations for numbers like that, so instead of putting non matching reg's in those slots, they just moved onto the next fleet number instead. Must have been a more recent policy. I think the Lynx's were numbered through? Despite being in the 3xx series batch where a fair few numbers were unavailable, some due to them being reserved by BMW for 3 series models. The ECW Olympians had a small batch missing in the 55x series, which seemed a bit odd. Perhaps because the reg would be A55?

Is see that the 2 02 reg Presidents they picked up recently have now entered service at Hull. Looks like all the Presidents they are buying will be going to EY as there are gaps between the numbers on the first 7. Still a lot of Olympians to replace yet!
A couple of Enviro 400's now allocated to Brid & 1 to Scarborough!

I hope that if any of the small groups such as EYMS or Wellglade ever decide to sell up it's to Go Ahead as they will retain their identities. They are bigger than the companies that Go are currently buying, but I imagine that they would be an attractive addition to the group.
