Worst Arriva experiences I've had are mostly with Hecky depot. Belle Isle and Selby seem to be the most relaxed about it.
Huddersfield Bus Company are also pretty relaxed - only ever had trouble with one driver.

Worst: Tate's Travel, As much as i like there fleet drivers don't seem all good and had bad experances before.
Best: Huddersfield Bus Company, Very relaxed and seem to want people to know whats happening and never seem too fussy.

Never had any trouble from anywhere, HJC are friendly and Geldards are ok too but they sometimes dont let you in if the management are not there.

I've found Arriva & Transdev to be the worst / least accomodating. Stagecoach better than First. Most independents are fine throughout the country. It does differ by region as some people are more sociable than others, so can be down to the individual rather than the company in some instances.
I've also found that if it's just the numbers you are after then depending on the depot layout you can get a lot of vehicles by simply making your way to the office to ask permission, which you may already know you won't get! First at Bramley is a good example as you have to walk past a fair bit of the depot to get to the office and then walk all the way back again!
