striders are quite poplullar on the 96 exspecially on a saturady morning. i have noticed more gemini b7tls used on the x84, probably more reliable then anything else on the headingly fleet due to the long distance bus root. i gonna realy miss the striders when they go! my favourate bus when i was little! I cant waiut for striders to go, horrid things! 8015 was on 44 saturday, probably not a misallocation but usually a strider

Funny really how there hasn't been any mention of the takeover on either Stagecoach or Arriva's Websites. Also wonder if a website will be set up for "The Huddersfield Bus Company". waterloo based buses no longer have stagecoach names or legals, just Huddersfield Bus Co Ltd, Leicester

Which routes do the Roayles Of Bradford appear on. They have them but i never see them on routes which would be deemed suited for the Royale. IE 670/653/15/72(OCCASIONALLY)? If they appear on this then it is in-frequent bradford doesnt have any royales!!!

with the new gemini double deckers arriving and been branded on routes and the older b9tls on other routes there no need for these no more which i think are due to go to south yorkshire soon? i have read that 30901 has gone to eastern counties, have any more gone? There is no older B9TLs, they're all B7TLs. I will miss the ALX400s alot!

563 ( i think) Halifax - Denholme - Bingley. One journey only in this direction simply as a way of getting a bus to bingley to operate schools services. I used to find it so funny that all the other schools locally would have Olympians of Yorkshire Rider/ First apart from a couple in Bingley that would get a Halifax Fleetline! that 563 used to run on to beckfoot school as B49 that ran back to denholme for schools then run empty to halifax before beckfoot cancelled the route there borrowed a old broken down leeds alteanean that atlantean was a great bus, remember it wel, if only todays buses were as good! ONly operated school days that route, never got to go on it

the 80's fit in with stagecoach yorkshires number scheme, as for 349, its whatrs left of a full route, it only operates in morning, probably when its only profitable

It certainly was a missed opportunity in simplifying these routes. Much of the Halifax and Huddersfield Overground networks stretch the definition of a simple, high frequency route far too far (Huddersfield's half-hourly Blue Line, anyone? Or how about Halifax's Mixenden routes which looks like a child went crazy with a purple crayon on the map?). What is the difference between the 350/351 (soon to be 182/183) that requires 2 different numbers? Why does the 349 (186) need its own route number, and why is it there anyway, is it a school run? 349 is a school run is a completely different route, 350 goes to marsden hard end, at night it goes via linthwaite and milnsbridge centre instead of 305

Strictly speaking I think that 200 was actually operated by Northern Rose, which was K&D's coaching subsiduary. I don't remember whether or not Northern Rose ran under a seperate license. lancaster city transport also operated it

......mid-late 90s when the route to haworth was severed at keighley, a strange idea but nevermind I agree it was a strange idea, to cut the direct link from Bradford, to this tourist destination! Why not divert the 697's into Haworth itself, perhaps at weekends? they could do, strangley enough at about half 5 at night the 698 goes to oxenhope!

metrobuses have corrosion problems just like the metropolitan though not as bad, it would not be wise therefore to use metrobuses in bradford after experiance with metropolitans also they struggle with hills its a known fact
the skipton - bradford route went round mid-late 90s when the route to haworth was severed at keighley, a strange idea but nevermind

I wouldn't really call them small fry! Transdev have a big presence in the UK, and Veolia seem hell bent on acquiring as much as possible. (Quite what impression the general public have when seeing the Veolia name/logo applied to both their buses and also dustbin wagons I'm not sure!) And I take it by 'Transdev doing a good job' you mean 'they have acquired Blazefield which has for a long time been an exemplary, high quality bus operation, and have therefore sensibly not messed around with it'. exactly, they know they have their hands on summat good and have not messed with it
