I meant complement each other (picked the wrong word). Have the 653 and 737 run half-hourly combined between Guiseley, Shipley and Bradford What about on an evening 737 and 963 could have a halfhourly service Bradford to Guiseley with slight retiming

First has withdrawn the odd early and late journey on several routes. The last journey on 607 Bradford-Thornton-Bradford daily is now 2135 . How can this be described as a service?

I'm fully aware of which routes are tendered and commercial - I was just trying to see the whole picture from a passenger's point of view. My main concern is that there is no bus after 2245 to Elland from Halifax (except on Saturdays) - I think public demand (like the 549) should reinstate this last journey every day of the week. When the last journey from Midgley is at 0005 to Sowerby Bridge it does give any intending passengers in that area a much longer drinking session!
I think the hamlet with the strange name is possibly Krumlin?

One suggestion the people of Elland could try is to persuade Metro to divert the last 557 bus via Elland, only would add an extra 5 mins onto the journey time.

Or perhaps Centrebus could run a commercial journey from Halifax back to the depot in Elland at the end of the day. Last 528 arrives from Rochdale at 11.43pm, last 559 returns at 11.30pm, 577 returns to Halifax at 9.34pm, last 579 returns at 11.59pm.
Also the 537 arriving at 11.13pm and 536 at 11.50pm that have to go back to Waterloo depot. Maybe register a 503 service

Last journey 2200 on Sunday btw. Also last journey from Thornton is earlier every day.

Thanks for the ideas about the last Halifax - Elland buses - I particularly like the re-routing of the last 557 bus via Elland. I've already suggested that Centrebus could use some of their buses back to the depot (see Oct 15th) and I'm glad somebody agrees with me.

Because Thornton is served by the 697 at 2200 and 2300 from Bradford, 2228 from Thornton. . More Examples of nonservice. Saturday 2240 Bradford to Shelf fails to show. 2320 is now withdrawn. Monday. 697 to Bradford is subject to disruption due to incident at Bocking. Last 607 journey from Thornton is now withdrawn. Tuesday. 2220 Bradford to Fairweather Green fails to show. 2235 is now withdrawn. That is 3 out of 4 days where it wouldn't have been a great inconvenience if the withdrawn services were still there . That is what I mean by having a service and not having a service.
