The diversion will add 15 minutes to each journey, so for 4 buses per hour that will need an extra two buses. So the overall fleet requirement looks like it's the same, meaning that there won't be any significant change to the reliability or availability of buses. But when Harewood Bridge is open there will be a reduction in the PVR ie Monday and Tuesday next week and Friday 25th August onwards (assuming the works are completed on time) Yes, they seem to have a summer timetable, as First used to do on many Leeds City routes.

I wonder if the 165 will interwork with the 140 during the day, as 164 interworks with the 141 at the moment. I hope the interworking still continues with the 164/141! The 165 interworking with the 140 will be great for me as I don't need to physically change bus to continue most of my journeys! I'll find out on Monday!

Yes the 164 does still indeed interwork with the 141. The 165 now interworks with the 140.

I think the issue with this could be that the 164<->141 drivers generally head to the layover stands at Leeds so while you would be travelling on the same bus, it is probably driver's discretion as to whether you are permitted to remain onboard

Currently whenever I am on a 164 into Leeds in the morning, it has always been 10-15 minutes late so most drivers have been kind enough to let me tap on again on the Ticketer machine once he / she has loaded the next journey and stay on board. However with this week being the school holidays, I may just need to disembark if the driver is not heading straight out again.

However with this week being the school holidays, I may just need to disembark if the driver is not heading straight out again. Certainly wouldn't allow that on my bus. Even if it was late I'd be dropping off at the alighting stands and get everyone off then go to the stand for departure. This and people who travel to the terminus to travel back again - Eldwick for example where some of the Muslim drivers use the time at the terminus to pray but if there's people there when they shouldn't it may not be possible. It's not as bad when people ask but when you get to the last stop and there's someone still on and they say they're going back I find it a bit rude. Some other points is other passengers may have a go at the driver if it's busy for effectively queue jumping but also in the event of an incident you may be asked where you boarded and if it doesn't correspond with the correct journey or route the bus is on the driver may be asked about this (This has happened in the past). Then you have other passengers who pay twig on to this idea then you have several people just staying on when they shouldn't.

Metro seem to be vey late with their changes leaflet this time - less than a fortnight before the changes isn't much time for most people.

The reopening was announced as being midday then they opened it earlier in the morning instead.

Could it be down to the service improvements? First surely don't have enough vehicles for their side of the improvements perhaps they are allowing them more time to source vehicles so they can confirm the date in the changes leaflet?

Presume we are taking September here not July :-) First have no changes registered for September other than the 398/9 and Flexibus cancellation. I think it’s October for 501/503. Transfer’s changes have been online for sometime, Arriva have a few timetable changes registered but no details on their website.
