I have noticed York Pullman have another new Daf Ikarus bus, any idea where this comes from ? Also they have 2 brand new coaches and seem to be scraping in any Plaxton Paramount or Van Hool coach around recently.

The bus is DAF SB220/Ikarus 281 (R720 LDY) from Stagecoach South East (It still had internal adverts from them in it!). I presume that this addition is to cover the York to Tadcaster service that they're taking over soon from Hutchinsons.

They use Tigers for that, Pullman are a great benefit to York unlike First.

More opportunitys to see York Pullman buses in West Yorkshire from last sunday in May.
Pullman will be running 1 journey each way on the X52, but will run between Knaresborough and Ilkley. They will also take over 3 journeys each way on Cravenlink 883/884 between Ilkley and Skipton/Malham from Jackson's, Silsden.
These journeys will run Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays.

As I have noted on my York Racecourse shuttle thread, this operator is now using Leyland Olympian/Alexander J721 GAP, formerly Stagecoach South 14971 but having been used by Charlton Services in Oxfordshire more recently.

Vehicles that I've seen with this operator recently have been Leyland Olympian/Northern Counties F297 DRJ (still in Stagecoach livery) and Leyland Tiger/Alexander TXI 1356 (still in Ulsterbus livery).

York Pullman have aquired a batch of Alexander Q Type Leyland Tigers for School services (And Probably the Dales Bus too), 2 of which are SXI 2639 and as already quoted above TXI 1356. Three have already been painted into Fleet livery.

TXI 1359 has been purchased to and was noted on the Leeds Festival's last week: jimbosbus.fpic.co.uk/p66859426.html239 has also had a door conversion not sure how long this has been done but i suspect a recent thing as i noted her with her dual doors not so long back so presume this will be heading for paint shortly. jimbosbus.fpic.co.uk/p66859432.html

Pullman Driver + Legals even though the Festival people decided to rip up the legals but you can just see 'Rufforth' and 'York' on there from my original photo and Godsons made no other appearance on the X28/29's that day which only was being ran by Geldards at the core with Harrogate Coach Travel and Pullman aiding the operations of the shuttle.

Pullman have the same colour ties then. I was just checking as i didn't know if Godson's had pressed their Q-Types into service just yet.
