Fully open top or closed open top. 304 is now in Devon so could of been 143. Couldn't tell you - I was doing 70-ish mph in the opposite direction at the time!

DAF SB220/Optare Delta R26 GNW is now in use here. Say what? Flickr has loads of photos of that bus joining the Connexionsbuses fleet earlier this year, but nothing on it being sold on after a month to York Pullman.

It has been said it has left the ConnexionsBuses fleet but obviously they have sold it directly to York Pullman.

OK, I was out of the loop on that one, assumed it had been posted in the wrong thread, but happy to be corrected! It will be nice to see a Delta back in York, they're fine buses, although these days probably more suited to Pullman's mostly urban work than a more aggressively-marketed interurban route like the X70.

I only saw it for the first time yesterday lunchtime as I was heading back to work. It was being used for driver changeovers, in between operating a Tadcaster Grammar School service (Service T17 I think it was displaying).
It hasn't been repainted, so is still in blue livery. Still as Steve says, it's nice to see one back in York. The Optare Delta is one of my favourite buses.

T101-3KGP, W431YBN, V336MBV all due to be leaving when the service changes commence according to a driver. No great surprise there – it sounds as though all they'll have left during the daytime is the 35 (1 bus + additional at peak times) and the 44, plus the evening 10s. Shame they're getting rid of the DAF instead of one of the double-deckers. I guess they must be keeping the Olympians for race day traffic, they don't seem to have a lot of school services using the ones in the normal/uni livery and the ridership levels on the 44 certainly don't merit anything bigger than a baby Dart.

All Olympians come in handy for events such as York races, Leeds fest and even rail replacement sometimes so i doubt any will go.
The ex stagecoach one however is leaving as noted above. Suprising really as i thought this was the best of the lot.
Never quite understood why pullman don't bother painting half of it's double deckers. Mind you saying that, most only last a year or 2 before being sold on.

Suprised they are getting rid of the J reg Olympian, that's a lovely vehicle. Also don't understand why the Volvo Olympian is leaving too.

I very mouch doubt so, Pullman are cutting back on their fleet as it is. The Dart's are going, as is the DAF.
It looks like E330-2MSG where the replacements for the deckers.
I was told by a driver that the 44 maybe going full low floor with all the deckers moving onto schools full time.
However i don't believe anything until it actually happens.

Prestonbus have to be commended on their maintenance of their fleet. Alot of ex-PB coming into the region from late 80s/ early 90s and still look great!

Ex Burnley and Pendle ECW Olympian now in use with Pullman. I think it was originally CWR521Y an ex West Riding bus.
