The new 4 at Harrogate despite running from Stand 1 is being worked by the Volvo Electrics. Going by bustimes scheduling the first and last three workings are the same vehicle which the rest of the day time is working every other one interworking with the 6. Any observations for 21 Transport? Ex-Diamond Bus Mellor Strata LS68 FOV working the No.8.

Keighley 2756 broken down this evening at Rock Lane, Bramley. Rain pouring down. Quite a few rail passengers on board I would imagine, given the current Northern strike action. Not exactly a great look for the bus industry, having to put 19 year old buses onto a service you know is going to be busier than usual, with an hour wait for the next one if somethings breaks down. All buses break down at times, even brand new ones. Most passengers won't have cared or even noticed it's age, plus those upstairs would have had extremely comfy coach seats. Whilst I do agree that they are comfy upstairs, I think it's still pretty obvious to the general public how old they are. Presumably from how loud the B7s are. I know people who know nothing about buses and moan about how old some buses are. Over the past 6 months or so, I've seen plenty of B7TLs and B9TLs broken down on the 60/A. More than I've seen on any other route I've lived on (well, with a kosher operator anyway).

Yes, that means for discussion about franchising before it actually happens, as this thread appears to have been specifically created in response to the Bee Network one getting off topic. Already existing BSIP schemes have nothing to do with franchising speculation and discussion. Well there isn't much to discuss apart from companies won't be bothered to do anything at all till franchising starts because why do anything if you're not going to win the franchise? All companies have to do now is the bare minimum? Why put any work in now, when some other company will reap their work. If there's not much to discuss then the thread will be a quiet one for now. So be it. travelwestyorks.proboards.com/thread/6554/wakefield-bus-service-improvementsOr travelwestyorks.proboards.com/thread/6503/proposed-enhanced-services-bsip

Maybe slightly reroute the 10, to save having to tender? Only thing is, it's impossible to slightly reroute the 10. It already covers the Railway Station and Horsforth Vale, but there would be no way for it cover Calverley and Woodhall Road without a long double run up from Rodley roundabout, which would add about 10 or 15 minutes to each journey.

I'll take a bright livery. I love the way the bee network livery proper brightens up the city centre, a very difficult task, especially around the greyest place on earth, Picadilly Gardens! not when it's a garish livery. Where have you seen the proposed livery?

A slight difference in timetables on the 184 too. Huddersfield Bus Station realtime display showing departure at 12:33, whereas the TFGM website and bustimes show 12:35. thats because it has been Sunday service in Greater Manchester today and Sunday times is 33 mins past even hours from Huddersfield Fair enough, somehow managed to bash around the Bee Network today whilst looking at Saturday timetables, and still made all my connections spot on. Strange haha.

I'm currently travelling on the X63 towards Huddersfield, which stops at a stop ON Bradley Bar Roundabout. Now, there can't be many bus stops on a roundabout, so how many unusually or awkwardly-placed bus stops can you think of? We have one similar on Albert Royds Street roundabout coming out of Rochdale. Watching for traffic coming up joining the roundabout, 2 lanes of traffic on the roundabout and then immediately joining a dual carriageway. When I drove the 508. I always made sure to slow down and look at the stop that's recessed in the old tram turning circle just after where the 682 pops out of the Woodside estate. Oh yes, the Woodside one is pretty awkward, I'd forgotten about that. Hiding behind the building.

They have rebranded the shuttle buses to say "every 15 minutes" instead of every 10, so odd to go back to it on the website/app. Where are you seeing it say that the 662 is every 10 minutes? It was on the timetables page, but it has been updated to say every 15 minutes now.

Halifax 37046 and 37052 due off fleet imminently due to cascades from Potteries and Greater Manchester bringing 20 years of B7TL operation in West Yorkshire to an end 32697 still appears to be hanging on in Hudds.

The new website has been launched - just as bad as the app with various Harrogate Electric service alledgely only running schoolday Maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but I don't appear to be able to get the most rudimentary of things you would expect from a bus company's website: a timetable. I wonder if I'm in the minority of people nowadays who much prefer to look at a full timetable rather than just individual times from my nearest stop? Edit: I've managed to scroll down the page without zooming out on the map, which reveals a timetable section, but only shows two journeys. (Keighley - 60).

Whilst I never get mad at drivers for the majority of things, and have found most drivers (with certain companies) to be very pleasant, I do get miffed for a few reasons.
- When I'm waiting for a bus at a bus station, the bus pulls in late and the driver gets off but totally ignores the waiting passengers. A simple "the next driver should be coming soon" or "I'm just nipping to the loo" would be much appreciated.
- When I get on, I always give a smile and a 'morning / hi/ afternoon/ thank you' to the driver, no matter what mood I am in. When I'm then met with a face that looks like a bulldog chewing a wasp then I generally think to myself 'b####cks to ya then'.
- When you notice the bus is suddenly on diversion, but the driver hasn't bothered to shout out any information to the passengers.
You'd be hard pressed to find another customer-facing role that allows some staff to treat customers like dirt.

Tried the my first Bee Network bus today, and also the X1 for the first time.
Ex-Go North West 13165 BN61 MWK was running 58 minutes late on the 184 at Slaithwaite, and it was followed by new MMC 11801, which ran the correct route, but was 21 minutes late. Unfortunately when I boarded I was hit with the stench of weed coming from a group of 6 lads on the top deck. Unfortunately you can try and improve buses all you want, but people will still be put off by the dregs of society who often use them.
I then boarded an X1 from Huddersfield, which just ran along the exact old 503 route, despite the other journeys running the new way.

Yutong Demo UU11 DDD is currently out on the no.6 in 'arragut. It flipped from the 1 early afternoon and has been on all the Harrogate Electric routes; a shortage of the Volvo Electrics again with only five in service and a B7RLE having to fill in until the Yutong took over, until it was retired after 6pm and a B7RLE returned. Puzzled why it has not been used on the 36; could there bne a range issue with demonstrator. I'm a tad confused as to why it is being demo'ed in Harrogate at all, as the electrics for the 36 and 1s have already been ordered.

I'm really confused at people complaining about Metro/ WYCA. They do have their faults. Yes, Leeds Bus Station has a few leaks, and Halifax is behind schedule; but go stand in Liverpool One bus station on a cold and rainy winters day and tell me what you think... Believe me it's not pleasant. Go stand in Runcorn bus station at anytime of the day. How about Scunthorpe or Rugeley bus stations?
Go look at bus stops in Lancashire or any other one of the countless counties that often barely have a stop, let alone a timetable with useful information on it!

I spotted a couple of Bee Network E400 MMCs on the M62 near Huddersfield this afternoon.
They both had '8 - Shudehill' on the desti, which I thought was strange as I didn't think Go North West had any E400 MMCs...
