Seems yet again Transdev are going to be changing their website layout which will no longer see the "Passenger" design that East Yorkshire Buses, Go North West and Connexions buses use. Instead they are switching to the designer of "Rise Digital Media" that High Peak and Diamond Buses use for their websites. More info here: www.transdevbus.co.uk/_/new-year-new-app-and-website-wayPersonally, I am not keen on the design Transdev are switching to, as I believe the current design is more interesting and less bland but I'd love to here anyone else's thoughts and opinions on this topic. An example of a website using the new structure is: www.lynxbus.co.uk/ or www.centrebus.info/

I think it is safe to say any favouritism for this company is long gone for me I mean that new company has developed apps with god awful app store ratings, the diamond app specifically is next level awful. It seems like nothing but downgrades with this new management
Edit: Not a single one of their apps on the playstore has a 3 star+ rating with multiple comments saying they didn't receive their tickets after paying...

Exactly, it feels like they are taking a step backwards rather than heading in the right direction for the future. For example, with Passenger, when you track a bus it comes up with a clear design telling you how busy the bus is and availability of facilities such as USB chargers, free WiFi and wheelchair spaces compared to the Rise Digital Media design where tracking buses looks horrific with a cheap design. Rise Digital must be cheaper than Passenger for a subscription if they are optionally choosing to downgrade their websites and apps.

It really does It's rare for a company to have a good app, and they had one, and the reviews reflect that! Mammoth sized companies don't even have good ones half the time (Arriva...)

One positive about the new design compared to currently is (if Transdev decide to use the option) they have the easiest to use fair calculator I've seen from a Bus Company Website as demonstrated on the Lynx Website, in fact it's better than on some train websites.
I'm actually surprised they didn't go for the same website design what the likes of Go Ahead, Border Buses & McGills use (alongside others), as that seemed to becoming the standard at one point, with even Intalink Hertfordshire using it.
I Might be one of few to think it, but being 'bland' isn't the biggest problem for me as I go to a website for information & would happily live without the 'creating desire' art plastered about the current website. As long as it's easy to find the info I need & isn't slow & laggy (or always going down) i'm happy.
At least they've not gone fully low budget & used whoever made the Arriva website!

Sounds like another poor decision from an MD with a history of them. Sigh.

Suppose its a wait and see what turns up. If the app has a feature of the original one that will be positive - that had a day tickets valid for 24 hours from the time of activation; suspect I hoping too much.

Its not been offically announced as being available yet so probably some updates and certainly corrections to do, for example the Harrogate service list is wrong in terms of the description of the routes of the 1C, 7 and 36. I expect it will be announced until next week as the Rosso bit currently has all the services that going to the Bee Network listed under their Bee Neetwok service number.
Seems easy enough to use to me - stops and services I normally used favoured so they are directly accessible. Just a case of waiting for them to move my tickets over.

I think they promoted it just a little while after this comment, great timing In all seriousness though the core app has been built and it is not only a substantial visual downgrade but the company hasn't ironed out the bugs or improved the apps for their other partners.

Had an email saying my unused tickets had been transferred to the new app - they have not as yet but they have given tickets for five journeys as a new app welcome.

The first 30-odd reviewers have given an average of 1.6 on the Android store (lowest possible is 1). No-one has given it more than 3.

It was quite funny to read the reviews. It was even funnier for the new management to say with chest that the 'new app will be better than the one it replaces' and then show up with that!

1.3 stars this morning, it's surpassed arrivas app at being the worst rated one!

The new website has been launched - just as bad as the app with various Harrogate Electric service alledgely only running schoolday Maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but I don't appear to be able to get the most rudimentary of things you would expect from a bus company's website: a timetable. I wonder if I'm in the minority of people nowadays who much prefer to look at a full timetable rather than just individual times from my nearest stop? Edit: I've managed to scroll down the page without zooming out on the map, which reveals a timetable section, but only shows two journeys. (Keighley - 60).

The biggest issue I'm seeing is the grammar, spelling issues and punctuation issues, it makes it hard to read.
On the flip side, it's early days, I'm sure they will want feedback on it.
I actually like the layout of the site, nice and simple for me to use, have no issues with it.

If you are lucky there is a timetable download link on the page that lists the servies. None of Team Pennines, Keighleys or Coastliner/Yorks, but Flyers most but not all of Harrogates. The 843 is listed seemingly as just the 0632 York-Hazlebush apprarently running school days only. They woudl be better off with no website than this rubbish

The Shuttle apparently runs every 10 minutes! Incredible they don't even know the frequency of their own services. The timetable displays the service as running every two hours...

The Shuttle shows the correct times if you pick Mon to Friday, but if you pick individaul days, especially Thursday its stupid. Ditto 60

I Think it's meant to say 'Upto Every 10 Minutes' on the Shuttle, what it does M-Fri morning peak from Keighley unless they've just accidently leaked they intend to restore the previous frequency.
