Also I have been scrolling through bustimes on changes for 24th July and it says services: 21, 22, 524, 526 and 587 will have a change in route.
Could this mean the Sunday 587 could possibly serve somewhere like Hollingworth Lake to link up with Rossos Lake Line service 458. Also does the 21 have a possibility of serving the Highroadwell loop again as Spring Hall Lane will now be left without a bus service since the 514 and 531 have been cancelled? I have no idea what can change with the 22 my guess is it could cut up Woodlands Road or do a bigger loop at Claremount and run up Belgrave Gardens and Bell Street instead of running straight down Belgrave Avenue. I had an idea that I already mentioned about the 524 terminating at Mixenden rather than Wainstalls as there is a faster alternative. I also have an idea that the 526 could possibly run down Roundhill and Tewit Lane on every trip or it might just stop serving Shelf.

From: www.transdevbus.co.uk/teampennine/changes-teampennine-julyService 587 - We will run all journeys on the 587 between Halifax and Rochdale, replacing the trips currently run by FirstBus. We run this route on behalf of WYCA (Metro). This means we will provide a bus every hour Monday to Saturday and four trips each way on Sundays. Look out for our better, brighter refreshed low-emission buses on the 587 very soon. Service 502 - We will slightly change the times of the 502 to make it more reliable. Most times will only change by a minute or two but please check the new timetable to make sure you don’t miss us. Better, brighter buses - and a chuffing new brand - are on the way here very soon, keep watching! Service 22 - Customers have asked if the 22 can serve more of Halifax town centre as it’s a long walk to the temporary bus station. Buses between 9am and 4pm will start on Market Street instead and drop you off on Commercial Street. We will typically run ten minutes later. At other times of the day we will still use the Bus Station. Changes in West Halifax In preparation for the West Halifax Improved Streets for People scheme from Calderdale council, which will change the road layouts on Hanson Lane and Gibbet Street, there will be changes on the following buses: 20 - new timetable introduced. This will be the only bus for Rye Lane and will run every half hour Monday to Saturday daytime and hourly in the evening and on Sunday. 21 - this will now run to Highroad Well like it did before 2020. At rush hours, it will run every half hour with an hourly service for the rest of the day. At these times the 532 will run half an hour later so there are still two buses. 514 - this bus will no longer run. For Wainstalls, FirstBus will be providing a replacement service. The 21 will cover part of Spring Hall Lane and the 546 along Hopwood Lane. 524 - this bus will now only run between Halifax and Mixenden with FirstBus serving Wainstalls instead. It will now pick up at Wards End and Market Street in the town centre, but not Albion Street. The times will change too. 532 - a new timetable, typically 20 minutes earlier than at present.

FLYER A1 - Leeds-Bradford Airport to Leeds
We're boosting our timetable to every 20 mins Monday to Saturday and every 30 mins on a Sunday.
On journeys to the Airport, changes to the road layout by Leeds City Council mean we can no longer stop outside Leeds rail station but will serve a new stop on Boar Lane just a short walk from the station entrance.
FLYER A2/A3 - Leeds-Bradford Airport to Harrogate/Otley and Bradford
There will be some changes to our timetable, to improve our timekeeping.

Actually seems like a frequency gain for the Mixenden routes. Lucky them. Also does this mean the 524 will terminate at Mixenden rather than Wainstalls as there is roughly a half hourly service to Wainstalls and 524 will loose customers as there are faster alternative routes to Halifax? The registration for service 524 has it as operating between Halifax and Mixenden so seems likely it's being pulled from Wainstalls. I'm a tad confused by the new route numbers. So the 510 towards Halifax will be renumbered to the 509. The 512 out via Pellon is being renumbered to the 511 once per hour and the 513 once per hour via Wainstalls. Presumably the 512 out via Wheatley Road will have one bus per hour stay as 512 and one bus per hour renumbered to something else (514 perhaps?) operating via Wainstalls? So the new 510 and 512 timetables are now visible on BusTimes. The 510 is the same just the Halifax-bound journeys numbered 509. The 512 will run half hourly out via Wheatley Road in via Pellon Road, while the service out via Pellon Road in via Wheatley Road is operating as the 511 and 513, with the 513 serving Wainstalls. So Wainstalls goes down to one bus an hour - an outbound bus via Pellon, replacing the 514, and an inbound bus via Mixenden replacing the 524 sort of. Quite surprised the 512 isn't serving Wainstalls in the opposite direction tbh.

Wainstalls only warrants an hourly service so o have both the 511 and 513 serve it you'd have the mess of one bus every 2 hours missing Wainstalls each direction, the massive majority of passengers to/from Wainstalls will be travelling to Halifax so doesn't really matter if it's hourly travelling one direction only.

Also I am confused about the 526. It said on bustimes and that government sight that 526 will be recieving a route and timetable variation from 24th July however it was not announced on the Team Pennine service changes.

I don’t think the new 101 timetable is quite right.
The first buses towards Wakefield from Stanley Lane Ends are at 0653, 0753 and 0848, but the first bus towards Stanley doesn’t arrive at Stanley Lane Ends until 0947. That doesn’t quite make sense.
Similarly at the end of the day, the Towards Wakefield timetable shows the last bus leaving at 1548, but the last Towards Stanley timetable shows the last bus arriving at 1847, so presumably that is the last service of the day returning to Wakefield.

I just know it’s a circular route so the discrepancies at the beginning/end of each day don’t make sense.

Suspect the improved Saturday timetables have come at the expense of tendered evening and Sunday journeys, it's more than a bit funny that drivers can be found for the suspended Saturday journeys, yet Metro moan that there aren't enough drivers for Arriva journeys it pays for! Additionally, Metro aren't telling the truth regarding services 1 and 1B, unless they've totally messed up the timetable. Firstly all journeys have been re-timed with some bigger gaps at peak times, secondly there are a number of withdrawn late Saturday journeys making the late night Saturday timetable hourly. All they've bleated on about is a stop change! Edit, I've checked against the upcoming timetable on the First website and it is indeed correct, what's really ironic is the late Sunday journeys remain half hourly!

The 510 seems to be staying however it still has a confusing set up. I see no point in the 509 at all as it does not run a seperate route to the 509 so they might as well have just added extra 510 journeys.

I think you are right because they have said on the service change web page that they can not find a operator so it is possible that arriva did not want the contracts

We won’t know if Arriva bid for the contracts and they were beaten, or if Arriva didn’t partake in this round of tenders which is why Globe Holidays won, unless Metro publish the tender results

I just know it’s a circular route so the discrepancies at the beginning/end of each day don’t make sense. No doubt some interworking or buses running out of service direct between the termini. For example the 485 has both an arrival and departure from Wakefield at 0835; probably the departure is worked by the vehicle off the 101 arrival at 0828.
