Where are Arriva getting the additional buses and drivers from? for the extra drivers it may be management and inspectors with PCV/PSV licence and CPC card although extra buses i can only think are they going to use withdrawn buses (including the tiger vehicles theyre storing).

You've over exaggerated what Arriva have said in their tweet.
If it is like what happened last Monday it'll be a few extra trips on the 202/203 and 163/166 within Leeds area in the PM peak.

The timetables are different compared to last week.
The 2, 3, 3A, 4, 12, 13, 13A & 16 are all split in the city centre running in two parts. There are also some extra peak hour trips on the 1

Are there taxis available outside Leeds Bus Station? Arriving in Leeds 05:20 tomorrow Monday. Would have taken the 13A from Corn Exchange but not possible this time.

Tricky, a taxi rank exists on the building site side of the bus station just up the road but it's quiet that time of the morning meaning few or no taxi's will bother with that rank so you may have to wait a while until a taxi passes. You might be best walking down to Aireline near Leeds Bridge or to Leeds Train Station where the majority of taxi's that time of the morning will be.

Slightly odd that Arriva are doing extra buses from Ringways to Leeds when you consider that corridor is entirely Arriva are will be operating normally, unless they expect folks from the 42 route to walk to Wortley to catch an Arriva bus.

Seems to be more buses around today, 2 came together this morning, a 6 and 1 and both were only a a quarter full. The danger with bus strikes is people find alternative means and stick with them. Good job we don`t have "UberHop" here, causing real problems in Toronto for the local bus operator.

This has come first hand from a Hunslet driver, the Polish drivers are not willing to join the strike and so will be working. He also said his wage was well over £12 an hour (he's been with then less than 2 years) with starters getting £9.90! I like the attitude of the Polish, they know when their paid enough and learn to be greatful! By the way, I deal with people with mental health problems daily for a lot less.

I'd agree that there seemed to be more running today than last week- in the 20 minutes or so that I was waiting for a 36 in New Briggate, two 7s came past and two 13As. Not sure about the 2s and 3s I saw heading southbound back into Leeds with New Briggate as a destination-if they were terminating in the city centre wouldn't it have been at Vicar Lane or the Corn Exchange?
Think there might have been an, extra or two on the 36 as well- I picked up the 1605 36 at New Briggate (a Harrogate Bus Company branded double decker), got off in Harrogate town centre and in the time it took me to have a look in Betty's window another one had turned up bound for Ripon, this time one of the new buses.

I haven't been too effected by the strikes. I understand why they're striking buy read somewhere the other day that the 20p an hour they're wanting now equates to £160 take home pay between now & Firsts offer of January.
How much have the drivers lost in wages in the 2 days strike & after by being blocked for voluntary overtime. Can't be too much different?

Bit more from yesterdays Yorkshire Evening Post www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/news/bus-strike-chaos-in-leeds-today-and-there-s-more-disruption-to-come-this-week-1-7971724The operator says it believes it would have been “unreasonable” for staff involved in today’s strike to recover lost earnings through overtime shifts. The Unite union has accused First of playing “hard ball” with a measure it says will “cause more disruption to the travelling public in Leeds”. Around 1,000 bus drivers and other staff at First’s Bramley and Hunslet Park depots were expected to go on strike today. The Unite members staged an initial 24-hour strike last Monday in their dispute with the company over pay. It saw buses on more than 40 routes in Leeds grinding to a complete halt, although First managed to run a reduced timetable on some key travel corridors. Talks involving conciliation service Acas were held on Thursday in what proved to be an unsuccessful attempt to avert a second strike.

And at the other end of the spectrum we have: FirstGroup has reshuffled the measures used to calculate annual executive bonuses, after chief executive Tim O’Toole saw his bonus crash from £578,000 to £162,000 due to a dent in operating profits. Mr O’Toole saw his total rewards package fall from £1.65million to £1.24m, according to the annual report just published. m.heraldscotland.com/business/14569191.FirstGroup_adjusts_pay_scheme_after_bonus_crash/

Bus drivers in Leeds have announced plans to stage two further strikes in an ongoing pay dispute with First Leeds. Members of the Unite union plan to walk out for 24-hours from 02:00 BST on Friday A further six hours from 04:00 on Monday, 11 July. I wonder how the second stoppage will be viewed by the travelling public! www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-36715769
