Don't know where these buses are for but on look north at 13:30 today, it showed the optare factory with a solo sr and versa painted in firsts new livery. Must be first breaking away from the volvo/wright tradition.

Assuming the first livered was the SR to the right of the tv screen when showing the wide shot of the floor.

My bet is South Yorkshire, They have quite an old fleet of Dennis Dart Marshall Capitals and certain people have started saying they are due new vehicles.

There was a hint on another thread that more Geminis are due for First Leeds in addition to the ex-Olympics buses. Does anyone know of likely numbers or approximate dates?

It was announced last summer that Leeds would be getting 200 new buses over the period 2012/13.

I think the increased use of step entrance buses in Bradford is only because of the repaint programme going on, and even then it's only a handful of buses per day

The Optare Solos may be for south-western regions of First which still have about 25 Mercedes Benz Varios.

What are Leeds going to receive as their next large intake. From the post's above it would appear there's a further 100 buses coming to follow the ex-olympic B9's. Are Leeds having more of the same?. It seemed to be a given that First only bought Wrightbus product's, but some areas have taken delivery of ALD products as of late. Perhaps There may be a bit more variety to come, or more likely, more Gemini's to come.

They only bought the 100 Enviro 400s because Wrightbus couldn't make 200 buses at once for the Olympics.
I haven't heard anything concrete about new buses, only rumours flying around.

It was First Leeds themselves that announced 200 new buses for Leeds last spring to be delivered over 18 months.

First East Scotland have recently got some E300's in to replace some Solar's/Eclipses on the longer X95 cross-border route and they look great. Hudd's SPD's seem pretty tired now and cant have long left.

First’s 464 new buses will be fitted with EURO V engines and the order is primarily of single decker and midi buses with only 42 of them been double deckers.
So it's going to be either Enviro 300's or yet a whole load more Volvo B7RLE Wright Eclipses. heading to First Leeds "Bramley" garage me thinks this year to replace the Single deck Scania's
