Thanks for putting it like that, For what its worth, I fully agree with you. If you responded to every post you disagreed with like that, ie, explained the reason behind your disagreement, then Im sure posters like me wouldn't have an issue with some of your comments.

Fair enough, I've become frustrated with explaining. I will apologies however for the mis-spelling of Yorkshire.

End of the day I just want First and other operators to keep up to date with fleet replacement,a maximum gap of 5 years between new deliveries and the right type of buses being brought, if passengers numbers drop more single deckers, increase more double deckers.

I wouldn't want that, good god fares are high enough already and it'll be us poor folk who have to pay through the nose for such a rate of new buses! Give me cheap n old!

We want nice new state of the art low floor buses but also our old 80s/90s classic. Leyland Olympian, Leyland Atlantean, mcw metrobus combo travelled on as a young Leeds kid lol.
Back to topic. If West Yorkshire get some new buses in 2014,they'll be Enviro of some sort single/double/Hybrid or a hybrid volvo.
Read on volvo bus website volvo discontinuing the B9TL and B7RLE for 2014 for a more hybrid bus range. The hybrid volvo B5L will become the mainstream volvo chassis provided for deckers and for single decks non hybrid) new 8 litre engine as a replacement as B8RLE. Vo

The new bus has been developed in close co-operation with Wrightbus. Well come on, you weren't expecting any other bodybuilder were you?

In partial response to my own question above, Huddersfield's allocation is 69556-566, All 11 are now out in service working mainly (but not exclusively) on the 328 route. As reported above, these are a direct replacement for the Plaxton SPD's which look like a trip to PVS beckons. First watchers in Huddersfield will now know the entire service bus single deck fleet consists only of Volvo B7RLE/Eclipse's. Thank you for this and your earlier post promising me route 328 as easy to locate a new Eclipse. I could ride one as soon as the end of September. I so associate Huddersfield with older buses that it is saying something that all single-decks there are now Eclipses!

Put them on the 607 - that route needs new buses!

Things have moved on since then, as already mentioned, they are now thought to be being diverted to Finglands instead.

The B7RLEs already in storage at Rotherham have cared for by Bradford stickers so dont read anything into it.

Please could somebody confirm if 69566 is at Huddersfield, I thought they just had 69556-65, but a couple of unofficial fleet list show 69566 at Huddersfield as well. On a picture I saw of it at Heysham docks it had First Leeds above the door.

Is it possible 69566 entered service at Huddersfield alongside the first batch with a view to it being transferred to Leeds at a later date?. The SOES FWY fleetlist has it down as Huddersfield based.

In a change of plan I "reshuffled the pack" for remaining travels in 2013 so came to Huddersfield and Leeds today. My Eclipse on route 328 was 69559. I rode an ex-Olympics bus in Leeds for the first time. I shouldn't list it here as it is a year old, but to complete the picture it was 36184 on route 33a.

Mystery solved.
69566 is at Bradford. Saw it there this morning.
Looks like at least 69566-69575 are parked there at the moment.

Certain irony that brand new buses languish in Bradford Depot whilst passengers in Leeds endure ancient clapped out Scania`s on the "Elite" guideway services, I think quality contracts just drew a bit closer.....

I reckon either they are due to be re-registered with 63 plates, or they will be diverted to Manchester for current Finglands routes.
