I currently have TLC Mellor Strata LN69 OGX on the 901. I haven't used the 901 on a Sunday in years but this doesn't look to be a regular allocation. Pics? Didn't get any pics.

Lol. What a great word 'Hornbying'. Shame it doesn't seem to describe anything. We all have our own interpretations I suppose. I certainly do.

This has to be the most moaniest bus company on social media. They even pick fights with genuine passenger concerns. I love how they make digs at other operators when they can't even run evening and Sunday services. Maybe a controversial opinion on here but they aren't the definition of 'professional'. And certainly aren't 'The Better Bus Company' as their destinations stated a few years back.

YN56 NVG for some reason tracking out of Huddersfield at 11pm, long after the duties finished on the nine in Leeds. It seems strange for them to travel so far away from home. Yorkshire Buses do rail replacement work. Probably that.

You'll have to do a bit of digging but I may have a solution. I wasn't going to suggest this as the firm in question doesn't have the best of reputations (allegedly) but there is one famous firm (again allegedly for all the wrong reasons) who I won't name that possibly may take you on going by their reputation alone, not that I'm saying they relax the rules but it is a firm that doesn't seem to care about customer service, timetables, local authorities, paintwork etc. I shan't name them, but they are based somewhere in the North within reasonable driving distance of Altofts, although you would need to drive to get to them. Should anybody name bus companies following my comment then that's just speculation so I won't confirm anything. Don't even think John Wayne would work for them. (Though I have just realised they are in my profile picture lol).

First bus from Huddersfield to Halifax not getting into Halifax while 0606 is awful, hopefully these changes will be short lived and come September a proper timetable will commence with the new proposed improved Halifax - Elland - Huddersfield services. A bit counterintuitive to be pushing for using the bus and leaving the cars yet there is going to be a lot of services where people will have no choice but to use the car. Don't blame them either, whoever is doing these recent timetables should hang their head in shame. Out of interest, are all the timetables at First West Yorkshire created and changed by people sat in an office in Hunslet Park working 9-5 and using their car to get to work? I'm pretty sure the image in my head is pretty true to reality! I bet they would never dream of using the bus to get to work.

Banned from working for 6 operators? This has gotta be a wind up, right?

My heart goes out to the (typically) low paid workers who rely on these early morning and evening services to get them to their jobs.
Worstbus strikes again. They have never gone out of their way to make travelling on their services an enjoyable experience. I just feel for people who can't afford cars.

Announced today (10th June 2023) is the sale of Peoplesbus to Stagecoach Mersyside & South Lancashire with all vehicles, staff & routes moving over. Sad to see another independent selling up to a major operator but at least jobs and routes (for now) will be preserved.

Just seen 2 (or quite possibly more) Leeds Streetdecks following each other on Stanningley Town Street in the direction of Bramley (at the mini roundabout near The Sun Inn). I was coming down Richardshaw Lane. I turned right to follow them and it looked like there were more than 2 in convoy further down the road (I was quite far behind though). Providing dupes on 72 May I ask why Leeds would be duping Bradford routes when they have their own limited stike service to run?

Today must rank as the worst day for bus travel in Leeds for many years. No first Leeds buses at all. None of the strike timetable buses have run, the information provided by first is shocking with hard to find timetables / timetables for other days on routes they said aren’t operating. The twitter responses to desperate people are just standard copy & paste with no understanding of the issues. Strikes will happen but first have really let themselves down with the response. Never known a company so out of touch. None of the strike buses have run? That's funny as I drove from Rodley to Cross Gates (around the ring road) earlier and saw 4 First buses on 6, 38, 7 and 56.

A strong contender for the ugliest bus design ever.

Arriva 0407 on 254 this time. I could've sworn Solos weren't allowed in the bus station.

Morale is really low at First in Leeds as heard one of the Park and Ride staff shout at a customer this morning telling them loudly to hurry up, I was upstairs at the time. Nothing out of the ordinary there.

So even the 24 and 59 will be electric? 24 is included in the bid. 59 not included at time of bid as was still a seasonal route. Services 8 & 21 as both routes are up for review. So far there's only Harrogate & Idle going fully electric at Transdev's Yorkshire Operations with Keighley to recieve electric vehicles for 60 & 662. There's been no mention of the 760 getting electrics, unless that has changed recently.

If the rumour is true, I think it would be highly unlikely that it would be sold of as a whole company. I think they'd get rid of individual operations and keep a core business of Keighley, Harrogate, Blackburn and Burnley.
Though who on earth would take on Coastliner is anyone's guess.

I wonder if there would be any potential of Idle running these short journeys. Otherwise drivers would have to get to Shipley from Keighley for changeovers. Or it could work like the service does on a Sunday, with all buses and drivers starting in Keighley but then going to Leeds, then to Shipley Greengates, Leeds and back to Keighley. I'm not convinced they could do that within the driving time regs. Rough timings, not factoring in traffic: KLY-LDS: 90 mins LDS-SHP: 60 mins SHP-LDS: 60 mins LDS-KLY: 90 mins. Add 5 minutes layover and the end of each and that's 5 hours 20 minutes (with no traffic or delays). Cutting it pretty close.
