Now to await the timetables to get confirmation of interworkings Pretty interesting that the 164 is running Vicar Ln and York St out of Leeds I notice that these changes are from August 31st (August Bank Holiday) rather than the Sunday.

Maybe not so much for Castleford, but the only route that Selby runs on Sundays and bank holidays now is the 415, so for everything else it doesn't make any difference if the new timetable applies from Sunday, Monday or Tuesday!

The only routes that aren't run on a Sunday is the 187/167/408/409 at Cas, but I thought the 405 might have run on a Sunday considering there is no 408/409 on a Sunday

Bizarrely, it seems to run from Doncaster to Sutton then round in a loop via Askern and Norton, back to Sutton, goes back a couple of miles towards Doncaster before turning off for Carcroft, then does the whole thing in reverse. Unless there is a lot of 2-way traffic between Carcroft, Askern and Norton, it would look like it would make more sense to run a single loop Doncaster > Bentley > Askern > Norton > Carcroft > Bentley > Doncaster – you could probably up the frequency from every 2 hours to every 90 minutes with the same single bus and no increase in operational costs. www.travelsouthyorkshire.com/TSY/media/Timetables/412-Doncaster-valid-from-21-June-2020.pdf?ext=.pdf

Arriva North West 1024 was seen this morning near Garforth - presumably route learning for Cas to take over the new 164 service?

So it looks like the 164 is interworking with the 189. But looking at the timetable they only have a couple minutes in Leeds bus station

Just wondering about the 476, the new timetable on a Saturday shows a journey running to Pontefract terminating at 17:40, but there is a journey starting from J32 at 17:24, I'm just wondering which journey this 17:24 bus comes from?

Do the Solo SR's ever appear on the 408/409 and do the full run from Donny to Ponte? and vice versa I've seen a few times 1006-1008 have on bustimes have appeared on it and weren't that rare to see one when it ran out of Cas

Mostly the Solos are used on the 64 and 493, but also reasonably commonly on the 42, and from time to time on the 5, 401 and 476. They are also used on some of the new college runs 1, 2 and 3, and occasionally on the 415, particularly at peak times, possibly when traffic was going snafu and they needed to get an extra bus on the road. There are a couple of days when one has done a single run to Hut Green on the 405, which is a bit odd, but this is the only day I can find when a Solo has been running to Donny on anything other than a one-off emergency cover journey. It looks like 3050 and 3051 are in full use most days, with 3052 and 3053 often just doing odd journeys here and there and running full day services less commonly.

Yes the solo replaced 667 as had to return to the depot with a few faults that appeared

Just wondering, is the shortened service 4 to Hemingbrough half term holidays only? I saw it running today on bustimes but the Arriva website timetable says it's school holidays only

Just wondering, is the shortened service 4 to Hemingbrough half term holidays only? I saw it running today on bustimes but the Arriva website timetable says it's school holidays only The morning journey is all year round. The afternoon journey runs at different times on schooldays and school holidays. The Arriva timetable PDF shows the morning journey twice, once with footnote 1 and once with footnote 2, and then each of the afternoon journeys with the appropriate footnote. The NYCC timetable shows the morning journey twice and the two afternoon journeys, but no footnotes. Or you can see the combined timetable along with the Thornes services in a much easier to read format at getdown.org.uk/b/1-s 😎
