I noticed we are being spoke about on Twitter Yes, I noticed that too, and it's an ex friend of this forum, that tweeted about Sgi being talked about on here. I also believe that is the same person, who claimed to be a Dewsbury employee on one of the Arriva posts.

Said person made a new account, who knows what happened to the old one.
Is this related to the guy who apparently went around in a hi-vis with a SGI logo taped on it?
Also apologies to Craig for having to edit my previous post. Whatever is acceptable works best.

The Twitter user is the chap with multiple identities on here over the past year, that usually spouted a load of rubbish.

I'm not getting any updates in the last couple of weeks on Dale Steel's twitter - and it sounded like people were on about someone else. Any chance of a link?

I just find it an unusual thing to do. I agree that anyone should come on here if they have information they'd like to share or something they'd like to discuss but to come here and then tittle tattle about what we've said, things which were not out of turn and other things which were backed up with legitimate sources such as newspaper reports is just a joke. I like to think we are all here for the same reason but it appears some aren't.
I along with most wanted to see SGI succeed but the company even when backed by a more reputable company still made such rookie amateur mistakes time and time again it's easy to lose friends and make enemies. I genuinely feel sorry for its employees who tried hard to make it work and for the customers who they gained and put trust in them. A certain persons tweets showed us all his focus was on other things and not where they should be.
I'm not saying running a bus company is easy because we can all do it sat behind a screen like we can manage a premiership football team just by watching them on sky but I am saying take care of the important things.
Rant over, thanks!

Twitter = Public TWY forum = Public to read, member to post SGI = Public Service Operator
The look on your face when the 278 turns up, priceless.

I predict they will be back with 30 year old vehicles rivalling the 110 route every 67 minutes. I can confirm that the plan was and still is as far as Ive been told/know is that both the 269 (Cleckheaton - Dewsbury Via Heckmondwike & Dewsbury District Hospital (DDH)) and 283 (Birstall Market Place - Dewsbury (via Batley and Batley Carr) would/were to return on an increased frequency with the 283 possibly running to Thornhill. I can also confirm a possible Wakefield - Castleford run was considered and rejected as the drivers were opposed to it as it was to run straight off the 126 services. Also the drivers weren't happy with the third 126 either as one driver would start before 07:00 and run 183 then get to Ossett for 09:25 run the 126 then run back for the 183 then back to Ossett for 126 at around 16:00-16:30 then run 126 until 20:46 then fill the bus up and return it to the yard. The 110 was considered but rejected again as they dont stand a chance running it but a service to Leeds was been considered as was possibly one to Huddersfield. They would also have 2 young ish buses left (Scania Wright Solar Y48HHE and DAF Ikarus T826GSE) as these meet DDA compliance. I can also confirm Volvo Double Deckers were been considered but put on the proverbial back burner as it would cost £2k a week to rent one. All information from Mr Steele and all drivers. It is also true that Mr Steele wanted to run the Dewsbury Free Town Bus as well. Next thing we'll be hearing is that they were considering competing against Arriva on the Dalesbus contract lol

I bet if an SGI driver told you he knew next week's lottery numbers you wouldn't question it and believe every word.
I'm surprised you are here considering how much you bad mouthed the forum and its members on Twitter.

Out of interest, did he put in for the Tesco contract that Geldards won, or did he just moan about it on twitter?

The 289 has a decent timetable and decent promotion on each bus, them the lunacy of having some buses from a side street in Cleckheaton rather than the bus station!
With the 268 every 10 minutes, the 269 isn't a good idea anymore I think.
An express X24 Liversedge Knowler Hill to Leeds via Hightown Road, Cleckheaton, Gomersal, Birstall, Fieldhouse Estate and Birstall Retail Park then M621 as x25 (now that would work and slice all the traffic out and provide new areas with an express route!).

I'm surprised you are here considering how much you bad mouthed the forum and its members on Twitter. First of all I only flagged up slanderous remarks mad by members on here about the drivers on here and the drivers had seen them and have been offended. Secondly all the information that came from drivers came from the bosses and I believe them as all what was said came/turned out to be true apart from anything one particular driver would spout. I also had a nasty experience with the driver which I am not going to go into on here as the case is still on going. No you didn't just flag up slanderous comments. I've read your tweets for a long time. I can't be bothered to even try and prove what you have been saying because you'll just come back with more rubbish but myself and others have seen what you said.

Also, funny how one 269 (or maybe 289) driver, tried to overtake my 268 as we both left Hecky Green at same time, at the lights from the RIGHT hand lane, as I was turning left, in the correct lane.
mk2mcw, what flavour popcorn you got? Cos, I think, we'll all be wanting some for this thread again.

@ h6yly, As we all know, the Scanias & Primos were all taken back by Dawson Rentals, for non payment of rental, or did he just return them? ??
