Thought these buses were to arrive in Standard Arriva Livery? At Castleford depot they said would arrive in this livery. Did Arriva Yorkshire Bypass Head Office to get Interurban? Although I know Yorkshire prefer Interurban but I thought head officed ordered these so therefore in Standard. Unless AY went to Optare and "changed" the livery!!

As i've mentioned before AY management prefer this livery and always order it but sometimes sunderland change the order. Looks like they got this one through without anyone noticing.

On BBC Radio Leeds' Rugby League programme yesterday it announced that Arriva is wanting to name the 13 new buses for the Castleford-Leeds route after Rugby League legends!
Now, were there to be an Express route, one could be named after Eddie Rombo, the Kenyan flying winger. If Kendall17 is not aware of him, he was badly done by when David Ward coached the Rhinos anf he got rid of him - to Dewsbury where he was an instant success.
So has anyone got any names for these 13 buses?

I saw an Arriva Tempo on test or delivery today. Didn't catch the number or plate.

Wonder if they have had Gudiewheels fitted from the Alexander ALX400s has it has been mentioned on the South Yotkshire forum that some of the Alexander ALX400s have been allocated on the 408 and 409 services, as it would make sense to have them fitted now ready for use on the guideway when more enter service.

All the available ALX400's not required for the 163/6 are usually allocated to the Wakefield corridor services 184/5/9. The 408 and 409 are mainly interworked from Pontefract with the 184/5 therefore it would not be unusual to see an ALX400 working into Doncaster. I would expect Doncaster to see something from most of the vehicle types working out of Castleford. They should see a fair selection of Spectra's, Striders, ALX300's and MPD's in Doncaster

I saw YJ09 EYH on the 166 yesterday. The branding looks pretty good but the buses look very smart!

Quite a number of them were on the 159 to Ferry Fryston (without branding) Also which B7TLs are remaining from those going up to Scotland?
