Just to let you all know that Arrivas Tempos for 163/166 will be arriving at Optare in the next 2 weeks and should be with Arriva within the next 4-6 weeks

It still doesn't make sense. Your first statement suggested they will be arriving from Blackburn to Cross Gates and then your second statement Simon simply refers to a production line!

METRO Here to get you there. Arriva Buses Here to get you there. Arriva need to get original slogans

Or is it the Chassis gets built at Blackburn and Crossgates will fit the interior and inside the bus?? I'm confused as well.

Blackburn "aren't good enough" to do the work apparently and have been sent to Crossgates i belive its to do it all but chasis are prebuilt aren't they? I would of said where they were coming from but couldn't remember which factory it was. I was speaking to an employee(at crossgates) and friend of mine.

The Tempo, Versa and Solos don't have a chasis. They're integral built with the body frame assembled first of all. After the axles and I think the gear box are assembled onto the frame then the bodywork and interior is fitted. The bus gets painted up into the clients livery then the engine is fitted last of all!

Does anyone know what Castleford are going to fo with all their deckers once the new Tempos arrive? They will be left with 30 deckers made up of 20 ALX400s and 10 Optare Spectras. I'm assuming that the B10B striders will be withdrawn when the Tempos arrive. Will the arrival of the Tempos result in all 30 deckers being allocated to the Wakefield - Castleford - Pontefract/Leeds corridor.

Jack, you got it wrong. He had 2 questions and didn't answer one himself. Instead he made a suggestion
As for the answer no one knows. I would imagine that a fair few will end up on the route. While where on the Subject, could a few end up at Heckmondwike to replace the Olympians that they have.

I would have thought the ALX400 would be put on the 410 has the MPD Darts aren't really big enough on there.

As it has been said in the Arriva changes thread, the fact that the PVR of Heckmondwike is dropping, the Olympians will be withdrawn without the need of replacement. The remaining B10Bs will also go when the Tempos arrive.

If the 9 B10B strider at Cass (I have excluded 411 at Wakefield and 416,420 at Selby) are also going what will be replacing those?

Wasn't it also intended that some of the ALX200s to be moved to Cas' when Dewsbury get their new Enviro200s.

About 10 of the ALX200s are due to move to Belle Isle once the new Enviro200s arrive.

I knew that already, I was just informing Jack that they were going to Belle Isle and not Castleford.

What sort of marketing scheme will be used to promote the new vehicles then?
