The story has been on BBC Look North tonight. They had the couple in the studio to talk to them about the incident. Nothing bad was said about Arriva and they are fully investigating the incident.

66773 has been running around with no coloured stripes above the windows for a while now. I got a pic of taken on the 13th December: davidsnonrailwaypics.fotopic.net/p47314410.htmlThe 328 does seem to going through a funny patch at the moment with a number of other buses working the route and when any of the normal buses do work it they seem to have some sort of livery problem.# David.c

Would these Geminis not have a speed limiter fitted? My brother works for Stagecoach North West, working out of their Preston depot, and alot of the buses he drives are limited to around 50mph.
Would this not be the same for the Geminis?

Hi kendall17, This is the home page for the company who publish these magazines. Bus and Coach Buyer is one of them. www.glen-holland.co.uk/You should be able to get to the latest issue from there. Hope that helps, David.c

Its a shame that they are to stop running their coach operation. Ive seen two of their coaches at Huddersfield bus station this week.
Many other operators have stopped the coach side of the business and then expanded the bus side of the business. Could they be another to do so? Will have to see.

Still I managed to get a pic of it: davidsnonrailwaypics.fotopic.net/p45820809.htmlI think it might be (tho dont quote me on it) an Alexander Belfast bodied Leyland Olympian. David.c

If I remember rightly the batch of Gemini double deckers that entered service in Sheffield (am I correct with the location?) not to long ago got coverage on BBC Look North. All about improvments to the services in the area.

MMMMM, that dosent look as good as I thought it would do. I think were so use to the current Solo design with the destination display further forward. Solo do say they will offer this style on the new model as well as the set back display as on the bus in the pic that jackh linked to.

I think it is a good looking bus that will continue the success of the Solo model. I think its been the leader of its class and this new design will make sure it stays there.

First Halifax Strider 66787 (K120HUM) working the 503 in place of the normal Gemini First Halifax ALX200 bodied Dart 40671 (S345EWU) paid a visit to Huddersfield as well today. Not sure what it was doing though. davidsnonrailwaypics.fotopic.net/p48292986.htmlArriva 186 (P186VUA) working a service to Leeds. Its display was not working and the peace of paper in the window was hard to read. David.c Judging by its location, that's probably service 549 heading to wards bus station (?). The other day I saw 40868 @brighouse on 549 to Huddersfield. I take it your talking about 40671. Well going from is display it wasnt in service and after I took the picture I chased it up to the bus station hopeing for another shot but it just went stright past the entrance and headed back to the ring road. Not really a misallocation, more of a misplacement.
Stagecoach Yorkshire Wright Endurance bodied Volvo B10B 21009 (M648YLV) noted on Huddersfield ring road out side the uni this morning. No passengers on board and I didnt see the destination blind so not sure what it was up to.
Also First Bus 66787 (YK05FOV) has been running in service still carrying its pink rail replacement sticker in the front window from work over the weekend.

Another odd bus on the 328 in Hudddersfield today. 66752 (YJ05KDE) working the route. This bus carries branding for the Yellow Line 301/302 route. davidsnonrailwaypics.fotopic.net/p47889273.htmlNicley following on from the Purple Line branded bus yesterday. Anyone know why there are so many odd buses on the 328 at the moment? I did see one branded bus yesterday at the bus station out of service with one front light cluster missing. It was taken back to the depot by an engineer. David.c
