Thanks jackh, That has answered them all. As I say the Free Town Bus service is being worked by YJ56WFH and MX55BYK at the moment. I havent seen YJ56WFK since the beginning off the week. Here is a pic of MX55BYK which I took on the 26/09/07 at Huddersfield bus station, I have just uploaded it onto my site. davidsnonrailwaypics.fotopic.net/p45479650.htmlThanks, David.c

Hi,
Just a few points and questions about bus workings in Huddersfield. Most are about Stagecoach.
Does any one know what has happened to the Optare Solos that Stagecoach operated? Ive only recently noticed that they have gone.
There have also been a number of Olympians in operation. All Leyland Olympian 14524 is the only one I have managed to identify but I think there may be more plus I have noticed an Alexander RL bodied Volvo Olympian in use. Does any one know whats the deal with these? Seems odd for Stagecoach Huddersfield to gain more double deckers when most of the current allocation spend the day at the depot only seeing use on school workings and on the 80 series of routes.
The K-Line operated Huddersfield Free Town bus (HFTB) is currently being worked by normal HFTB Solo YJ56WFH but with MX55 BYK as its partner, This is a standard Metro liveried Solo.
Plus Solo MX03YCZ is in K-Lines Blue and White livery along with Solo MX56NLP but this carries it in the style of the Metro livery. Are these last 2 Solos new to the fleet?, their livery looks very fresh.
I know this is a lot of info and questions but a lot has happened in Huddersfield lately. Any help will be great fully received.

This is will explain why Halifax Joint Committee liveried Wright bodied Darts where operating round Huddersfield last week. I havent seen them this week tho.
Last Monday there where some Ex Dublin Bus double deckers, still in Dublin livery with their middle doors removed, operating the route with the Darts operating for the rest of the week. But as I say I havent seen any of these buses this week.
Does any one know where these services operate?

Sorry for the late reply, ive been in Amsterdam for the last week and a bit. I have not got my pic of 30843 in the latest issue of BUSES. I sent my picture, a while after I took it, to the editor but he already had another picture of the bus. This picture, which has been published, was taken by a guy called Stephen Whiteley. Looking at the picture in the mag and the picture you have linked to they are taken by different people. They have been taken at the same location but seem to be on different days as the passengers are different. I have, however, had three other pictures published in the current issue of BUSES on pages 40/41 as part of the article about Transdev. I have created a gallery on my fotopic site showing the pics I have had published in BUSES magazine. davidsnonrailwaypics.fotopic.net/c1459863.htmlDavid.c

A couple from this morning at a very sunny Huddersfield bus station. Got pictures of both so better to put them in this thread. First Huddersfield Eclipse Urban Volvo B7RLE 66751 (YJ05KOD) working the 342 Almondbury service. This bus carries branding for the 301/302 Yellow line. davidsnonrailwaypics.fotopic.net/p48318054.htmlFirst Huddersfield Royale 30843 (T663VWU) working the 323 Marten Nest. davidsnonrailwaypics.fotopic.net/p48318055.htmlDavid.c PS, If I knew it was you Jack stood on the central reservation by the exit of the bus station this morning I would have come and said hi. You got a better shot of 30843 though.

Hi, Ive managed (finally) to get a number of pictures of misallocations onto my site. They are taken over the last few weeks. I posted all these misallocations in the normal misallocation thread but have only recently got the pictures onto my fotopic site. On the 14/11/07 K-Line Optare Solo 23 (MX04VMG) was working the Huddersfield Free Town Bus service in place of one of the normal FTB Solos. davidsnonrailwaypics.fotopic.net/p46951354.htmlOn the 23/11/07 First Halifax Gemini 32513 (YJ54XUB) was working the 503 Huddersfield - Halifax but carries branding for the 508 Halifax - Leeds. davidsnonrailwaypics.fotopic.net/p46951351.htmlFinally on the 23/11/07 Stagecoach 39631 (YN04WMA) was working the 20 to Barnsley. davidsnonrailwaypics.fotopic.net/p46951352.htmlDavid.c

Got a couple of odd workings from today. Both where at Huddersfield bus station. Stagecoach 14198 (J198HFR), an Alexander RL bodied Leyland Olympian, which according to the Stagecoach hand book is stored in the North East, was working route 81 to Clayton West. davidsnonrailwaypics.fotopic.net/p45755757.htmlThe other working was Arriva 1412 (YJ57BVW). This is one of the new Commanders that have just been introduced on routes 126 and 127 which connect Wakefield and Dewsbury. It carries branding for these routes. This was operating route 202 to Leeds in place of the normal double decker. davidsnonrailwaypics.fotopic.net/p45755755.htmldavidsnonrailwaypics.fotopic.net/p45755756.htmlI dont think this can happen to often as the number of seats available to passengers is greatly reduced and the bus was already busy when leaving Huddersfield.
