One misallocation from yesterday at Huddersfield bus station plus a few other bits of interest.
First Halifax 30737 (L306PWR), Northern Counties Volvo Olympian, working the 503 Huddersfield-Halifax. This bus carries a Green and Cream livery celebrating 100 years of Buses in Todmorden. I should have the picture I took on my fotopic site by this afternoon.
I was happy to see a bus from my home City of Preston at the bus station as well. Plain White Optare Solo PL06TFV is part of the Blue Bus (Penwortham) hire fleet. It headed out just after I arrived and I think it was heading to Hebden Bridge but am not to sure. Any one know who this bus is on hire to?
Finally there has been a number of First Bus School Buses parked at the bus station recently. On Thursday (06/12/07) BMC Condor 68686 (YJ57VVA) was parked up while yesterday (10/12/07) BMC Student 68543 (YJ05VWC) was parked on the back. Any one know why these are parking up here?
Thanks for any help with the questions.

One from today at Huddersfield bus station.
First Halifax Wright Ecplise Urban 66762 (YJ05VVD) operating the the 503 Huddersfield-Halifax.
An extra thing was Northern Counties Olympian 30752 which was operating the 315 but only got as far as the High Street when the driver failed it as the doors would not shut. He got the bus back to the bus station and must have fixed it as it wasnt long before he was taking it back out on another route.

Got a couple of misallocations.
Yesterday I sore a First Huddersfield Gemimi on the 372 Almondbury service, the Sky Blue Line. It was heading back into Huddersfield passing the Tolson Museum. I was heading the other way on a packed Volvo Citybus so I was unable to get its fleet number but it was branded for the 363.
Today First Huddersfield Eclipse Urban Volvo 66743 (YJ54XVT) was on the 398 Storthes Hall shuttle during the morning.

Just the one misallocation from today.
Arriva ALX200 186 (P186VUA), still carrying its dark red colour scheme, working the 202/203. I had the joy of this bus all the way from Leeds to Huddersfield which was packed for most of the journey. The bus is totally unsuitable for the route, even worse on a busy weekend like it was today.
Arriva was not having a good day with the 202/203. While on my way to Leeds on double decker 1606 we got stopped by the driver of the service in front. He had failed the bus (1603) with faulty suspension and all passengers had to transfer to our bus to continue their journey. And through out the day the buses on the route where operating in 2s or 3s. The 15min frequency was out the window.

Some misallocations from yesterday and today all in the Huddersfield area.
Yesterday, Northern Counties Volvo Olympian 30753 (L888YTT) working the 328. Alexander RV bodied Volvo Citybus 30379 (G523RDS) working the 328. This is the Lime Line and is normally worked by route branded Wright Urban Volvos.
Northern Counties Leyland Olympian 30731 (J130YRM) working the 310 in place of the normal Royale.
From today, There was an open day at Huddersfield Uni which included the student residences at Storthes Hall and Ashenhurst which produced a number of buses. Both of Huddersfields coaches, 20407 (R307JAF) and 20409 (R309JAF), were in use along with Royale 30817 (R637HYG) and an unidentified Gemini branded for the 363. These were working along side the normal Volvo Citybuses that normally work the 398 to Storthes.

Just been on a misallocation in the form of First Huddersfield Dart 40963 (N213WRD) working the 399 to Storthes Hall Student Village. I know there had just been a swap of driver and bus before the journey I was on and it was running 5 mins late so there must have been a problem with the double decker that was ment to take over resulting in the Dart.

Hi,
Just to start with, yesterday Northern Counties Paladin bodied Dennis Lance 67039 (K739JAH) made an appearance at Huddersfield bus station while undertaking driver training duties. Never seen this type of bus before.
Right, A number of misallocations from today all seen at Huddersfield bus station.
The Holmfirth Connection group of services were being operated by a high number of single deckers with only a few Royales in use. To keep things short,
Dart 40874 (P824YUM) working the 312 Strider 60792 (L125PWR) working the 310 Strider 60794 (L127PWR) working the 312 Most interesting was Wright Urban bodied Volvo 66766 (YJ05VVH) working the 311 (back display had 341). This bus is branded for the Purple line.
And finally, Verde 60944 (M406VWW) was working the 328.

Got one misallocation from today tho its nothing special and happens quite often.
First Huddersfield Plaxton Verde Dennis Lance 60951 operating on route 311. Well it was till it broke down in the center of Huddersfield this afternoon out side Sainsburys blocking the road. Thankfully it was a short distance away from the lights and traffic was able to get past using the bus stop area used by the 328. Buses on the 328 had to pull into the bus stop as normal before reversing to the far end of the parking area. This left a gap between this bus and the broken down bus. This gap was tight for buses which had to edge slowly through it before having to do the same again between the broken down bus and the traffic lights. I have pics of this madness which I hope to get onto my fotopic site tomorrow.
One other thing from today was route 363 which and some unusual routes being taken by the buses. I sore one Gemini heading up to the ring road past the exit to the bus station having already left the bus station earlier heading towards the center, all of which while in service. And another Gemini was being taken back to the depot by a fitter. The route seemed to be a little disorganised today.
One final thing, First Huddersfield Wright Urban Volvo 66738 was operating route 313 to Holmfirth.

Thanks for that hfx. I noted both 66791 and 66792 on the 363 today working one service after the other. A Royale on the 328, now that is wrong. David.c 66791/2 are on the 363 everyday. They have guide wheels fitted especially for the service, so how can it be a misallocation? Also there aren't enough Royales for the Holmfirth Connection so other vehicles appear on here every day Yes I know now that 66791/92 are fitted with guide wheels for use on the 363 but I only found this out a few days ago plus they dont always operate this route. This week I have seen them operating on the 301/302 (Yellow Line) and the 370/371 (Red Line). Would this be classed as a misallocation then if they are intended for use on the 363? I know other vehicles do operate the Holmfirth Connection service everyday due to there being not enough Royales but today there was more then normal. In the hour and half I sat out side Hudd bus station today I sore a total of 2 Royales working on these services. The rest were older buses. David.c

Noted at Huddersfield bus station today (13/10/07) between 12.30 and 13.00.
First Huddersfield Plaxton Pointer SPD 60938 (R726HHK) operating the 312.
First Huddersfield Northern Counties Olympian (J129YRM) operating the 314.
First Huddersfield Plaxton Verde 60974 (M436VWW) operating the 310.
As can be seen the Holmfirth group of services had very few of the Royales operating them. Instead a mixture of old double and single deckers.
Not really a misallocation but K-Lines Plaxton Centro (YE06HRX) was operating the 301/302 instead of its normal 242 route as this does not run at weekends.

This is the first time I have ever seen a Royal on the 503 so for me its a misallocation if not for you. Personally I have never been to Halifax to view the buses their so I carnt say which routes they normally use the Royals on. I didnt even know they had any till I checked the fleet number in the hand book.

Just been looking through my shots from Huddersfield bus station taken a few months back and found a pic of 66792 working the 363 with its guide arms so nothing unusual there. Thanks jackh.
Another couple of workings from today both of which where noted at around 12.40 at Huddersfield bus station.
First Hudd Northern Counties Olympian 31739 (H138FLX) was working the 315 Honley/Oldfield. This is normally worked by Royales branded for the Holmfirth Connection.
I also sore the rarest bus I have ever seen at Huddersfield to date. First Manchester Optare Prisma bodied Mercedes Benz 60443 (P542BSS) was working the 184 to Manchester. The 184 is part of the Purple line and is normally operated by route branded Wright Eclipse Urban Volvos.

A few workings here, all from around 11.30 - 12.45 yesterday at Huddersfield bus station.

I dont know much about Arriva double deckers but Optare Spectra 720 (YD02PVW) was working the 229 to Leeds. This is normaly worked by single deckers and older double deckers.

Just a quick post to say that both of the Huddersfield Free Town Bus Solos are back in service. They have also gained the names Pinky and Perky. YJ56WFH has become Pinky with YJ56WFK as Perky. They carry the names above the front wheel arch on the door side only.

PS, Thanks for all the info regarding the Stagecoach buses.
