Always squeaky bum time for me when the 308 appears on a VOSA change. Maybe the 307 will be the Holmfirth workings. As long as it's not a cancellation. Lol.

Wouldn't surprise me if the 51 and 52 were re-routed via the M621 at Junction 1 as it's only penny numbers what catch it on Elland Road, the busiest stop on that section being Top Moor Side which to be fair has the 55, 65 and 75 and is only served by the 51 and 52 in one direction. You can be on a peak hour bus around 8am to see just 3 people catch it at the West Stand Ticket Office and another couple catch it at the next stop with hardly any catching it at the footbridge stop further up. This move would improve timings on the 51/2, and would make the 55 more viable as that's only busy around Holbeck. Those wanting the 2 stops around the stadium could easily walk round to the Park and Ride which is also close to Elland Road Industrial Estate. Interesting, as everytime I get the bus into town from outside Elland Road, there are people getting on at both stops. No matter what time of day!

I wonder if this is a return of the X14, or just the 14 still listed as X14 (14)?

Heard today that due to the problems, the Interchange is likely to be demolished. I honestly wouldn't be surprised. I'd even be fearful to ride a bus on the main carriageway now in case we suddenly ended up in the car park below.

First York Low Height Streetdeck 35932 has been working out of Hunslet today.
It is heading down to First Potteries at some point.

After reading a few comments on Facebook from people who used to work in the bingo hall below the interchange, I reckon it's something far more serious than just a bit of wind and rain damage to the roof.
Ex-bingo staff describing how parts of the ceiling used to collapse regularly, and even how a car got smashed up from falling debris in the car park.
Of course, take everything on Facebook with a pinch of salt, but I am leaning towards thinking it may be a demolition job.

Latest info ,X1, Hx Elland bridge , Huddersfield Road (Old Ainleys) Edgerton Hudds bus stn every 15 mins . (basically old X37 BUT EVERY STOP) 501 , every 15 mins including late eve, early morning and Sundays . 542 Hx to Norton Tower , 543 Hx TO Siddal , route split. 549 every 30 mins HX To Hudd (operated by Huddersfield depot) 548 restored to every 30 mins . Some fairly major changes to the Calder Valley also, but i would rather leave that for the moment . Is this to do with the planned electrification of Todmorden outstation or something different entirely?

The Solo (0)406 and physically seen by me dropping off and parked up. Penfold We're not to take Solo's into Leeds Bus Station What do passengers waiting for these solo-operated journeys in the bus station do when the journey starts from elsewhere without them knowing?

This is interesting. I may be wrong, but, I was always under the impression that in order to run a public bus service using West Yorkshire Metro bus stops and facilities you had to accept Metro products. Now, I can't imagine that this will affect the passenger numbers too much as we all learned in school that 0% of 0 is '0'. Attachments:

Best spot of the day: a 900 Glasgow - Edinburgh Plaxton Panorama in Leeds Bus Station working a megabus service.

This 'AI timetabling' is pathetic. But what else would you expect from the geniuses in First management!
I was looking at the 49 timetable on Eastgate towards Bramley last week and I honestly couldn't believe what I was seeing. The times are all over the show.

Looking forward to the Kites arriving. It will hopefully renew my interest in bus photography; which has been none existent for about 6 months. When can expect to see them hitting the roads? They are already out in York I meant the Leeds ones.

I've had a look at the new number 10 timetable and to be honest I can't see the point in journeys extending to Horsforth station, the turnaround time there is very minimal so late running will defo occur whereas turning at Horsforth centre would have mitigated for late running to a point. WYCA should simply re-contract the 30 if they want the Vale connecting with Horsforth station. Rest of the timetable seems ok but I would have added more time onto journeys even if it meant a lower frequency, I'd especially have put in a different timetable for Saturday afternoons, I'd have split the timetable between noon and 5pm into White Rose to Pudsey only every 2 hours between noon and 5pm (1 hour journey time each way) with the Horsforth to Pudsey section running hourly with 1 bus between those points, this would have sorted the issue with the giant Elland Road/Ring Road/M621/A643/A62 Car Park on match days. I think running it to the Station is great. The section that is causing issues is the Horsforth Vale part. I've not seen anyone get on or off there (not to say that absolutely no one does) and getting back out onto the ring road towards Pudsey is usually a total pain, and can take ages.

Regarding the evening trips on the 9, these were on trial as they were originally going to be axed when the 9A was curtailed however Yorkshire Buses kept them on for a trial basis, obviously the numbers don't warrant keeping them on. Regarding the potential for TLC, had they won, using a Solo. I've not seen more than 10 people on board on my section just off Beeston Ring Road at Cottingley either direction which includes a very late running journey around 8.40am at Whitehall Roundabout heading to White Rose a few weeks ago, that had a handful on board you'd think it'd have more on board bearing in mind it's a peak time bus. When First ran it I had many a journey that was packed with shcool/college kids, shoppers and workers coming home from the White Rose Centee area.

'Evening journeys, which were introduced on a trial basis by Yorkshire Buses, will no longer operate'.
Interesting statement. As if to say First didn't run any evening journeys... they did!
I do find it fascinating how Leeds is one of (if not) THE fastest growing cities in the country, has no mmass transit system and yet bus travel is still in massive decline in certain areas. Also funny how the areas that it's in decline in seem to be the 'up and coming' places like Horsforth and Farsley.
I do hope franchising could turn this around, but I won't hold my breath.

According to a local councillor 🚨Update 🚨 Replacement No 9 Bus Service - Horsforth to White Rose. As you will be aware Yorkshire Buses have deregistered the service from 24th December. Dear Cllr, We have found a replacement operator, and are finalising details. We will be able to update you with the details in the morning. Ah, so going by the wording 'replacement operator' then that means Yorkshire Buses hasn't won the contract. It wouldn't surprise me if it was a total outsider like Hunters who won, or even someone like Tetleys. TLC using a Solo would be a reasonably good fit as their depot in Bradford is within fairly easy reach of the Horsforth end of route, defo within reach of Pudsey and again using the motorway or A650/A643 or A653 is within fairly easy reach of the White Rose end of the route. TLC using a solo would leave dozens of students and workers unable to board coming home from the White Rose Centre in the afternoon.

Seen on social media that shuttle 1804 is covering on Flyer A2 today. Strong contender for the prize of rarest allocation.

I wouldn't say that 2 hourly would work both buses depart at the same time give both trips over a hour and half if on time or early drivers get half hour brake which means they don't need many drivers as running them 7am first bus each way then 2 hourly till 6ish A 2-hourly service is neither use nor ornament to the majority of people.

The thing is, you'd think it'd be the eastern section of the 9 that was the poor performer in terms of passenger numbers, but the reality is the western 9 has ran so unreliably that it's the poor performer simply because people can not take a chance on it running. The eastern 9 doesn't serve major employment areas linked into to major housing areas except for White Rose, but you honestly don't see much peak time custom on it at that end and the likely custom on that section would come from Middleton which is saturated with buses to White Rose. Perhaps there is some custom from Garforth to Swillington, maybe some from Seacroft to Garforth, and maybe a bit in the Rothwell area but lets face it, the rest of the route would be penny numbers given how it runs through now't but sticks. The Western 9 however, that's clearly a money spinner if it's ran well. White Rose, Milshaw Industrial Estate, Cottingley/West Beeston, Elland Road Industrial area and the stadium/Ice Rink, links with buses up to Morley in those areas, major employers around Geldard Road/Whitehall Road, the huge amount of housing in Farnley, Wortley and the lower part of Bramley and the major town of Pudsey, all that section alone is a money spinner. Under First it could never run to time, hopefully under WYCA the timetable will get the resources it badly needs. If it was a half-hourly reliable service then I'd definitely use it a lot; currently living in Horsforth and Rodley, and going up to Pudsey and the White Rose quite a lot. Unfortunately it's far easier for me to jump in my car or even get the bus into town than wait for an hourly service that is pretty much always late.
