Just a little snippet,(there will be more to come) The enhanced 501 Halifax to Huddersfield BSIP Funded enhancements (every 30 mins) are due to start this month along with the transfer of 549 to Huddersfield depot (OFL) Operating every 30 minutes apparently between the towns . With OFL gaining the 549 does that mean both trips an hour will continue to Huddersfield, and Sundays to Huddersfield? Doubt it, as the current 2 trips are only 20mins apart & the Cowcliffe area have never had more than a Half Hourly service at best (unless they restore the 2nd 548 per hour). Sundays to Huddersfield are covered by 547 so not really needed. The 501 is evenings and Sundays only. Does this change apply to daytimes and affect the current 343 or mean no more Sunday 503s? 501 is gaining a Half Hourly M-Sat Daytime service, Eves/Sundays is unchanged & it's looking like for the moment the 343 is unchanged as well.

Doubt that 501 Sundays will be unchanged, as 501 doesn't run until the evening. Would be a bit odd to have 501 half hourly daytime on Monday to Saturday with it only running trips in the evening on Sundays.

Could you explain what you're saying. There's several ways of interpreting your notes. And people on this forum will, if you're not clear.

(Assuming 503 stays as it is)

Perhaps 501 is not needed via West Vale when 503 already exists. I'm interested in the X37, as I am unsure what Old Ainleys is? Is it that section of Huddersfield Road that takes you straight up to Calderdale Way?

If your both correct & they are sending 8BPH direct via Calderdale Way & Elland Bridge, I see that lasting less than a month after the funding runs out - bypassing top end of Elland & West Vale would be a missed opportunity. I'd assuming he was meaning that slip road you mentioned as it's to become 2 way with traffic lights & an extended bus lane

Arriva's registrations are now on bustimes. Interesting observation is that a lot more routes now run without subsidy. There's so many changes it is difficult to comment on all the changes, have a look for yourselves. bustimes.org/licences/PB0000582

I'm hoping this is the start of the partnership. I believe it may be due to the low amount of service change dates this year which I believe is related? It is brilliant to see a good chunk of routes no longer relying on public funding. If the registration is correct the 268 and 229, will now be fully commercial!

Is the amount of dates for service changes due this year much lower? Including the extra ones added throughout the year there was 12 last year, there's 6 official dates currently on the Metro Website & it's probably too early in the year to say for sure there won't be any more added.

Pretty sure last year also had very little changes but extras spawned in such as January, April etc.

Well looking at Arriva's registrations the Heckmondwike Hub conversion musn't be starting until Easter as there's only 261 with a route variation. 212 is also down for one but given it's saying follow customer feed back it's either serving Batley Bus Station both ways (unlikely) or it'll be serving flipping Flanshaw which really need summat bigger than the mini e200s to cope.

Oh, I thought they were set at the start of the year my mistake. Although the registration on the 195 is interesting 'Journeys reinstated as per WYCA local authority request' And with us rumoured to be getting some more vehicles as said in the other thread, something could be on the horizon because the fleet is relatively modern

A start would be putting the 110 back to every 10mins

The 508, 576 and 503 as well as the 586, otherwise the 2 hourly frequency may lead to it's cancellation! Since the service cuts, a mad drop in customer levels occurred on the 586 bus route. If they don't do something quick the levels won't recover which would probably result in a withdrawal next. As for the others it makes capacity a huge issue.

Is this to do with the planned electrification of Todmorden outstation or something different entirely?

Seems like it's positive for the 542/3 as I always see the Norton Tower side get quite busy at peak times. Now they can put double deckers on.

Thanks for all the information. Those are some welcome changes! I must ask if the splitting of the 372, is also true? That rumour has reached the public and has appeared on the local page.
