Seem to be cutting back on a lot of services at Centrebus Leeds. I did hear they may have lost some tenders somewhere.

It took members a long time to guess at Harrogate Coach Travel! The 62 route amendment is interesting.

Well it was known the 8 would be a surprise, but wasn't expecting that! On another note, noticed the 62 is a route change, with the new 63 being a circular I'm wondering if the 62 is being ammended so it complements the 63 over parts of the route. Not sure how it's going to do that unless both routes run the same way as each other between Leeds and Cross Green or as opposite to each other circulars.

Re the 62/62A services. These will have to be changed at the Pudsey end. With the 8 gone the 62A has nothing to interwork with. My guess would be the 62 to run via Troydale and the 62A withdrawn (there is enough layover time at Greengates to accommodate this change). The 62 could stay half-hourly between Leeds and Cross Green, or half-hourly Old Farnley to Cross Green using an extra bus if Centrebus really feel that's necessary. I wouldn't have thought there was any need for the 62 to change its route to Cross Green (but that's not to say it can't). I thought the 63 was designed to run a circular via Cross Green Lane (not Richmond Hill, so the 62 would still go that way), East Park Parade then back to Leeds along York Road. But plans could have changed.
Alternatively the 62/62A as we currently know it could be totally revised!

I understand First Leeds Won (Taking back) the Tendered Monday to Saturday early mornings/evenings 91 services that are currently operated by Centrebus. First Leeds already operate all 91 journeys on a Sunday ..

The 56-day deadline for 21st July is Friday so all should be clearer from the other operators later this week or early next week. However since I am on holiday this week I had to get the Centrebus registrations off early before I went which is why they are up before everyone else. Full details of changes to the services will appear later.

Interesting move for Connexionsbuses to move into Leeds, albeit small, it is a start.
Be nice to see some of the HCT variety in Leeds.

So makes sense when they said wait til the end of the week. Sent from my GT-N7100 using proboards

The results of the Leeds area tenders from July have now been published by Metro today see PDF link for more details. www.wyita.gov.uk/NR/rdonlyres/CB5B5C24-723D-4DA5-A632-E1D9E58DEF57/0/BSSC29MAY2013ITEM6LeedsAreaBusReview.pdfAs i posted earlier First have taken back the full 91 service. Stagecoach are taking the entire 153/154 Castleford - Rothwell - Leeds service off Arriva. "Ladies Only Travel" taking the Horsforth locals 31/32 and Harrogate Coach Travel taking the 8 & 60 off Centrebus, Also looks like M Travel are taking the Evening Castleford, Pontefract and Chequerfield services off Arriva...

I take it the Sunday and new weekday holiday Temple Newsam service is the number 10 what will run via York and Selby Road, but what way will it run as a Circular?

Going off what's mentioned in the documents:
New services 10 (Leeds-Temple Newsam), 11A (Leeds-Seacroft-Cross Gates), 88 (East Ardsley-Morley-White Rose-Middleton) will be run by First. 63 is also listed as First but registered earlier this week by Centrebus.
First and Centrebus will swap on the daytime service on the 38, with First running the Sunday service and Centrebus the Mon-Sat daytime service. Evening journeys are withdrawn. The 8, operated by Connexionsbuses, will run weekday daytime only.
M Travel will run the Mon-Sat evening service of the 136. 781 will continue. Also going off the documents, it may be the case that Centrebus will run the Mon-Sat daytime service 9, while early mornings, evenings and Sundays will be run by First.

I think you are misunderstanding the Metro codes as the 38 & 9 are commercial during the day. Metro tender the morning, early evening and late evening segments separately so with the 38 it is a similar timetable to current but finishing earlier and (I think) starting slightly later, and with the 9 it is a couple of early evening journeys rather than the late evening timetable previously operated. The pvr drop isn't as big as it would appear from the number of routes as the losses largely affect services operating in the evening and weekends that are difficult & expensive to cover rather than the daytime work which is largely commercial and will remain.
