The 633 was registered on VOSA so it should be going ahead unless there's been a last minute change. Either way there will have to be some service because it covers a whole different area to the 624/new 634.

It's probable that the 633 will replace the 624's northern half of the route between Shipley and Bradford only.
No news yet on the 78A (or SS1). Should expect it next week I would imagine, when Metro publishes the Changing Times booklet.

More timetables on the Metro website this afternoon.
*MC3 will re-number to 605 as proposed *612 will run between Shipley and Bradford only, running every 15 mins Mon-Sat daytime. Looks like 611 is withdrawn and replaced by services 612 and 614. *Proposed 646 service from Shipley to Wibsey will now be numbered 847 and replaces some of the withdrawn 846 journeys. 847 will run along 846 route from Shipley to Bradford, then via Manchester Road to Mayo Avenue then along Mayo Avenue, Rooley Avenue, Halifax Road, Smith Avenue and Fair Road to Wibsey. *TLC Travel will run all journeys on services 708, 715, 716, 727, 728 and 729
Meanwhile, from VOSA today (guessing 990 is Wakefield FreeCityBus): PB0000582/67 - ARRIVA YORKSHIRE LTD, 24 BARNSLEY ROAD, WAKEFIELD, WF1 5JX Variation Accepted by SN: Operating between Wakefield and Wakefield given service number 990 effective from 30-Apr-2012. To amend Timetable.

Dunno if it has already been mentioned, but the 612 is rerouted to run via Canal Rd, Kings Rd, and Swain House Road between Bradford and Five Lane Ends.
Can't see Riddlesden residents being happy at only having 3 journeys on the 708 on Sundays.
Last bus on 670 just after 5 from Bradford seems very early

Last bus on 670 just after 5 from Bradford seems very early Relieved to see the frequency between Bradford and Shipley maintained on the 612 and also, unless the new timetable is wrong and in a change from the proposals, the last two journeys of the night will carry on into Shipley and not terminate at 5 Lane Ends as was proposed. If correct I assume First must be running this extra bit commercially, I have to say I was surprised to see this being cut as I used to use the last bus a lot and it was always well used even after 5 Lane Ends.

The 612 route has also been usefully simplified from being a jumble. It should do better now. I wonder if 613/4 will get overground status.

Can't see Riddlesden residents being happy at only having 3 journeys on the 708 on Sundays. Last bus on 670 just after 5 from Bradford seems very early New 847 service is routed slightly different from 846, as it goes via Myers Lane between High House Road and Idle Road. This is presumably to fill the absence of the 611/612 from Idle Road. Make sense for the 612 to re-route via King's Road as Bolton Road is well covered by the 640/641. The last 670 will leave at 5.20pm, which is 15 mins earlier than currently. Obviously First/Metro see no need for any service later than 5.35pm. It's possible that the 613/614 could be upgraded to a Overground service. Or at least officially. The old Bradford Network map from 2009 on First's website has the 610/611/612 and 613/614 listed as 'Overground' routes, which they describe as services running every 20 mins (although that might be so they can include the 363 from Huddersfield). Regarding the colours used in that map, 610-612 was Mauve (like 42 in Leeds or 409 in Oldham) and the 613/614 was Indigo (like 40 in Leeds). Also, the 613 runs between Bradford and Fagley during evenings and Sunday, so this should see the 682 curtailed to Bradford Interchange.

People keep saying Overground has been dropped but all of the Bradford Overground route vehicles had their branding removed and then replaced as recently as last summer. Only the orange line 636/7 of the original Overground routes has no branding in Bradford, although the 645 only has four Gemini's remaining but still these four were refreshed last year.
We should find out soon enough what format future route branding will be like when the red/blue lines in Leeds receive their local tweaks.

It may have been dropped in Halifax/Huddersfield but the Overground still seems to be alive and well in Bradford as you say.

First's changes in Calderdale/Huddersfield are listed on their website (although it says Bradford in the description). Bradford and Leeds not posted yet. First confirming they're running Mon-Sat evening journeys on the 262 and that the 570 is curtailed to run between Bradford and Nunnery Lane (no mention of connections with 548 though). Also, the 10.38pm Mon-Sat 371 journey from Dalton is extended from Lindley to Upper Heaton (ties in with the 262 and see 371 return to Upper Heaton) and the 7.05am weekday 571 journey from Halifax to Bradford is retimed to leave 5 mins earlier. www.firstgroup.com/ukbus/calderdale_huddersfield/travel_news/service_updates/?item=4351&conf=0#

More timetable uploads on the Metro website. It looks like First's 606 Sunday journeys have been dropped as only the 607 is shown and the two journeys (10.22am from Holme Wood and 12.05pm from Bradford run as a 607).
633 timetable is up. Runs along 624 route from Shipley to Bradford then along 675/677 route to West Bowling. Evening and Sunday service runs Bradford-West Bowling only, running every 40 mins Sunday daytime and every 75 mins evenings
Traveline also have some timetables on their Journey Planner website. 675/677 runs Bradford-Shipley with 675 continuing to Cottingley and 677 running to Shipley Glen. No timetable information for service 78A yet while searching for SS1 in May 2012 brings up no results

Who the hell decided on a 40 and 75 minute frequency?

That frequency has been the same for a while

The changes to the 610-614 look to have simplified an overly complicated network which seems ok.
The 847 is a strange one running direct via Manchester Road. As it will probably be run by Solos I expect it won't run via the guideway and will therefore not pick up much traffic on that stretch. It'd make more sense to continue to run via Little Horton Lane.

The 847 won't run down the guideways and I completely agree about the routing, why couldn't they just run it as 845 with an extension to Mayo Avenue as I think the journey times would be similar.

Are we still none the wiser as to what vehicles TLC are acquiring for their new services?

Are we still none the wiser as to what vehicles TLC are acquiring for their new services? Well, a few days ago I noticed an all white Solo, MX58ACJ on the 963 which I think must be a recent acquisition so i'm assuming it will just be more of the same. They'd even bought a new pad of A4 to use for the destination.

No, I'm afraid this is not a new arrival, I made the same mistake myself back in February when I saw it at Forster Square station on the 947. I took a photo and was all ready to report it on here but then found a photo of it on Flickr operating the 967 back in mid January. Having said that, on both of these photo's it has a fully working destination display although the legals were on A4 paper in the window. On another TLC note, Metro said that the Changing Times booklet would be available online yesterday but this morning there is still no sign of this or of timetables for TLC's new routes around Shipley, other than the 660.
