Little Red Bus will be interesting. A bit of a surprise but very logical. Minibus will struggle and I believe the SS1 replacement will charge everyone for use. Depending on the fares, that might kill it.

No changes to Holme Valley, the consultation was originally part of the South Kirklees consultation, which has closed this month but is now separate and any changes will be planned for next year rather than in the autumn like the rest of the area.

Looking at the timetables of TLCs Shipley terminating services it would appear that the 660 and 679, and 629 and 678 will interwork. The 649 being self contained although there is a working to Baildon at 1412 with no return (nor any other service apparently). On the Bradford-Baildon services the 1747 ex Bradford has no return and presumably the vehicle will run empty to Otley to form the 1915 963 to Ilkley

They are getting in quick, I haven't even prepared the registration yet and the timetable hasn't been finalised as to what it will actually be. Not sure about period/funding status so can't comment on that. Registration won't be prepared until next week in whatever form it takes (I assume from these reports that I will definitely be registering this route next week, I wasn't yet aware we had won it). They didnt know about it today when I mentioned it at our depot. Will it interwork with the 553? They didn't know about it because I haven't told them about it because I haven't registered it yet as we haven't finalised the details yet. As I said Metro got in quick on the publicising the new service but I guess they had to given how close we are to the commencement date. It won't run to the current 570 timetable but will have a new timetable with 6-min layover in Brighouse and will interwork with other routes in Halifax.

TLC's operations in Keighley look like they interwork as follows during the day:
708 and 715 interwork 716 interworks with the 727/729 Ex Tyrer journeys interwork with each other.
That said, the 07:55 916 looks like it may then go onto the 727/729 Also, given that TLC only have 3 journeys on the 708 on sundays and a couple of runs on the 917 on sunday evenings, there must be a lot of dead mileage and/or long layovers.

There's a timetable for the 531 gone up which is not referenced in the main leaflet. Looks like the short morning journey (0945 ex-Halifax, 0955 back from the Hospital) which was added in December 2011 is going.

The 760 timetable has an awful lot of padding between Riddlesden and Keighley on weekday afternoon journeys, I would be really interested to see the evidence that it takes 15 minutes to complete the journey at 1900 as whenever I've done it its taken between 5-7 mins. Also, it looks like buses on the 66 route take longer to travel between Steeton and Keighley than those on the 25 and 762 as they are timed for 4 minutes longer.
The last 500 to Oxenhope on Sundays seems a little early at 1705, meaning Haworth gets an hourly direct service to/from Keighley. However, a half hourly service will still exist going via Oakworth on the 717, so I just hope Transdev really make an effort to promote this

The 963 timetable has been reduced with Bradford only served every 2 hours and the Sunday service withdrawn

Timetable is available and it does have a 6 minute layover at Brighouse. Given the timings, it looks like it could be interworking with the 553, although there would only be a 3 minute changeover at Halifax. All timetables are up now I believe 71 and 78A are missing, but I think all other timetables are now up on the Metro website.

The timetable for the 720/721 looks quite odd, lots of single journeys
There is a journey at 0905 from Keighley to Oxenhope that has now journey before it and no return journey afterwards.

Thats because theres one massive misprint in its timetable Keighley 0905 Spring Bank 1013 and the rest of times 1 hour later so in fact it arrives Oxenhope 0941 not 1041 and forms the 0944 back to Keighley

The 531 to the Hospital is been withdrawn and instead the 573 is diverting via Skircoat Green on the way back to Halifax. Think the 553 and 573 interworking will be more than 3 mins in Halifax because they give you too much time from the last timing point into Halifax so instead of getting into Halifax at 48 past, it will be in for 45.

The 573 isn't timed very well, it leaves Brighouse for Halifax at exactly the same time as the 278.

570 always has- when the 278 keeps to time of course.

I presume the 531 is going to take a slightly shorter route from Halifax to Copley - however, I was lead to believe the 573 was providing an additional bus to run via Skircoat Green.

No change to the 531 route, only change is that the short duplicate journey to relieve overcrowding at 0955 from the Hospital into town has come off. It will be replaced by one 573 journey diverting via Skircoat Green (about 0952 past the hospital on Godfrey Road) to help the overloading on the 531 instead. All other 573's will continue to run direct up Huddersfield Road as the 570 did. It will interwork with the 553 during the day, and the 553 has been retimed 5-mins earlier out of Fountainhead to accomodate (and 572 in evening peak) and it's good to hear there is a bit of recovery in the 553 timetable as my one concern when designing the timetable was the recovery time (or lack of it) within the cycle.

I agree on a bad day that 15 minutes is about right during the rush hour and have no issues with that, but after around 1800 10 minutes is more than adequate and still provides some slack. Given that the 760s have appalling time keeping (how the Traffic Commssioner hasn't been involved I've no idea) it would have made better sense to add the extra time throughout the journey gradually rather than putting in a fat wad of padding at the end of the route

No way will it help overcrowding on the 531 because 75% of the passengers that make the bus overcrowded get on at Shaw Hill flats and the 573 isnt going that way.

I use the 531 at various times of day and it's almost always full all the way to Copley except in the evening. No idea why it doesn't run every half hour. That 573 won't help because it doesn't run FROM Halifax like the extra 531 does

Doesn't the extra 531 run from Halifax direct via Skircoat Road just as a way to quickly get to the start point to then run inbound. I can't see there being much call for a bus leaving the town centre at 9:30am.

But it is the 25% from Skircoat Green who were being left behind that the 573 covers (and the 531 dupe also used to cover the same roads and didn't serve the flats mentioned either) on the first journey after 0930 when the pensioners came out. As stated the 531 out of Halifax went straight down the main road and was purely a positioning journey. There are plenty of buses running down Skircoat Road that no one should miss one bus not doing so.
The service is tendered by Metro so any such decisions on frequency would be a matter for the tendering authority however I suspect the problem is more down to the need to run smaller vehicles to get round some of the roads towards Ripponden means the bus gets full easier but if they are travelling on free passes not enough to justify the extra cost of more buses to up the frequency.
