Strange how arriva is going all the way to temple newsam to launch their new buses. Would have been better in their own territory like green park in Kirklees or some field in Wakefield. Not on First door step! Photo ops.

U all need to be very careful if u r gonna be taking pics with kids being about and that. Think Arriva would be happy for u all to take pics after the kids leave.

There was a row of 7 Gemini's in the yard at Dewsbury. The end one was 126/127 branded. I assume this is the full Dewsbury batch for the 126/7. Look at the top of the page these have been at Cut End a while now and all are 126/7 Route Branded.

Arriva have commented on their status "lets hope snow passes us by" by announcing they will invest £4 million on more new buses in september.

All are carrying some smart advert boards proclaiming 'Bus Operator of the Year' with a large picture of an attractive smiling young lady :-)

Not seen any Heckmondwike ones out yet.
There were a few in the depot at 5pm:
1536 (OBL), 1544 (OBU), 1545 (OBV), 1547 (OBX), + one at the back either OBM or OBW in reg - depot was dark! + one in the other building near the pits, probably 1538 or 1540. Not all looked to have route branding on. The one near the pits definately didn't.

Had my first ride on one already - 1513 on the 110. Seems they are out in force on the 110 now, presumably the Olympus are now all parked up at BI pending moves elsewhere. First thoughts: - Nice new smell, sparking inside and out.
- Very nippy, quicker off the mark than an Olympus, which aren't slow themselves
- Leather seats in a smart dark blue colour, different from the usual green. Also two seats at the front behind the doors as on the Tempo and Tridents. Rest of the interior in Arriva Aqua.
- They seem to be fitted with an high pitched annoying beep when the doors open and close, but only when the bell has been pressed. Personally hope this is something they remove quickly but may be part of DDA compliance
- Dash is very simple, speedo, mileometer and then a colour screen. The screen shows an image of the side of the bus and then all the warning lights/symbols.
- Getting off 1513 in Leeds just 235 miles showing on the clock.
Finally - two poor quality interior pictures I managed to snap, sure better ones will appear online in due course.
