Actually only 39 turned up of the 41 Geminis made it 1548 hadn't arrived and for some reason 1509 didn't make it.

As I suspected the last 4 Belle Isle ones are branded for the 126/127. A few of the Heckmondwike ones not route branded.

There was one on a morning peak 255 this morning. It used to be a 229 Spectra so it presumably goes onto the 229 during the daytime.

Which is why the 229 was an all Gemini route during the daytime today. This morning was a mix of a few geminis, a president and a lowlander and by mid morning all run by geminis.

1546 & 1547 were at Heysham yesterday (according to Flickr) An unbranded 1547 was on 254 this morning looked like it had been out before given the dirty bush wash lines on it

They do tend to go up gears then drop down again but that is the new eco friendly Voith Gearboxes doing their job, they climb hills fast enough (Probably the same speed as a Volvo B7TL or equivalent)... It is probably because they have a Small engine too.

So far I've only seen 1544 with 254/255 branding
Has anyone seen 1545 or 1546 in service as yet?

Good photo's as usual from you. Do you know if its only Dewsbury's allocation that's branded for 126/7 or are some of Wakefield's as well?. I ask because it looks like the majority of Wakefield's allocation look like there for the 110.

Couldn't see any other Gemini's in so assume 1545 was in service. Looking at the images on the fleetlist on the Dewsbury Bus Museum website only 1544 & 1545 have 254/255 route branding. I guess 718 is staying until 1548 is delivered.

Wonder if it is the VDL Citea's that they have just ordered? This is the 80 VDLs that were mentioned and It has ordered 30 12m Mercedes-Benz Citaro singledeckers, plus the 80 VDL SB200 chassis with Wrightbus Pulsar 2 bodies

Yes I know, it was a mis-understanding at the time because the website mentioned that they were on VDL Citea body.

Update on the Belle Isle Geminis
1508 to 1524, 17 off have the leather seats, however only 1509 to 1523, 15 off are route branded for 110.
I suppose 1508 and 1524 the two unbranded could be used on any route if there is a full complement of Gemins are available
1525 to 1528 have blue fabric seats and all 4 are route branded for 126/7 although for most of the day Belle Isle only have 3 workings as opposed to Dewsburys 7 workings on 126/7.

Dewsburys Geminis, anyone noticed the black paint added to those at Dewsbury by the rear numberplate.
Is this Dewsbury personalising their Geminis or something else!
