The Big Orange in Bath I think predates First, and that's why they use that brand there.
I would have thought they should use the Unilink brand everywhere else.
Introducing an orange livery with Centrebus now in Leeds seems a bit odd. Plus as said above, the 50/50A is the orange line.

They could at least bring back a Yorkshire Rider style livery for them.

Saw 10038 at Crossroads yesterday in a pretty dilapidated state, certainly didnt look like it would be going anywhere soon. Id be very surprised if that bus was back in service soon. I don't have any details of the ones which are going back to Volvo but those which appear in Bright Orange should not be painted until they have been re-furbished by Volvo. The Volvo re-furb is not directed at the mechanical capability of the buses they are having a full electrical overall relating to all the electronic wizardry associated to ensure the buses perform mechanically. I understand either all or most of the micro switches which detect and either warn or correct potential mechanical malfunctions have been the Achilles heel of these buses. While to the human eye it would appear that the buses kept on failing because of a mechanical malfunction the majority of these are down to the unreliability of the electronic components.

Well the 1995 onwards green livery would look nice on the bendi's. I like it when companies keep tradition. Some stagecoach companies paint there buses in classic liveries. I think the bendis in orange is a bad idea. It's been used already plus centrebus are orange. At least two tone blue would be better.

It is being used in CentreBus, but whats that to stop them?

Do you think First might just battle Leeds out and make rid of centrebus. Stagecoach do similer tricks.

Do you think First might just battle Leeds out and make rid of centrebus. Stagecoach do similer tricks. Unfortunately, I don't think any operator would try and pull a stunt like that especially with the much awaited outcome of the enquiry into the bus industry. Furthermore it would be a PR disaster, I somehow don't think the media would be too receptive if Centrebus was 'driven' off the road by any predatory actions by First. Anyway, what does this have to do with the topic in hand except the BOB livery may look like Centrebus'.

Are ex York B7LA's still at Leeds and they part of the plans ? And here is your answer, in this very thread on this very same page. Here's a question, according to this student protest group that recently campaigned for better buses up Headingley they have secured an improved service up Headingley from May. Does this improvement by any chance include the re-introduction of bendi's? All sorts of rumours are saying their coming back so perhaps this group had campaigned for their re-introduction.

I think the B7LA's are fairly decent buses. They served York very well for 5-6 years. Much better than the B10BLA's.

I was told by the man with a paint brush in his hand that he wouldn't be dipping his brush in any blue paint for the Leeds ones

It's a bit bright. The First Manchester tomato soup livery was much more bearable.

Just wish York would swap the FTR's for the B10BLA artics. Never been a big FTR fan.
Don't they ever do design livery competitions, York did one.

I can't help but get a bad taste in my mouth regarding these orange bendibuses. If it was the other way, and Centrebus decided to introduce a pink and purple livery, First's lawyers would be all over it before the paint dried.

The man with a Paint Brush was telling me today that they have some Blue Paint now and some has been applied to a number of those already in allover Orange.
They should appear next week, however the last one, I have no idea which it is, to go the Volvo is still there having it's engine replaced.
The original engine having water in the sump when the oil was drained. At least the engineers now know hwy it kept failing in service.
