Two questions:
- What do Unite/the drivers want? - What did Arriva offer?

Be waiting until 2023 for that. I'd find an alternative form of transport if I were you 👍 I've found fairly decent long term car leasing with next day delivery available,I only needed the Arriva services to get to Stourton from Leeds, so last time i survived on using the P&R plus walking (taking into account Transdev delays getting me into Leeds City Centre - what is another major factor in me looking at getting a car) Look at it the other way. £1,000 a year is a substantial loss to employees. If you were looking for a new job, would you be able to afford a £1k pa paycut? But have the employees lost the £1000 - its sort of hard to lose something you never had,at the same time where do you expect Arriva to get the extra cash during a time they are not making a profit? Government are hardly helping with extra funding for public transport (or dealing with the cost of living) so whilst its ok say some people will always need public transport, the question is are they enough to operate at a profit (what would fund higher wages) I Guess its a case of wait & see where Arriva swing their axe in the coming months Yeah agree, can see any loss making and slightly profitable operation being binned after this, and Arriva will blame the cuts squarely on the staff.

Would you take a job that pays less than you think the going rate is? A) Is Arriva paying less that going rate? From what was said during the previous strike the deal that was being voted on put them on a fairly similar level to First & Transdev. B) If Arriva are paying much less, whats stopping these drivers moving to other operators? yes it could involve travelling further but i don't think its realistic to expect a well paying job to turn up on your doorstep.

Strike suspended as all go round the table again. Promise of 14days notice given if industrial action is to be taken again.

Is the dispute centered around the pay of entry level staff?

The latest vote has gone in favour of the new pay offer, the dispute is now settled.
