Squarepeg in Leeds still have a few ex-AY low floor ones in use on school runs. When did the EX AY step entrance ones leave Squarepeg? Did they go to scrap by any chance? Not so long after the low floor ones joined the step entrance vehicles moved to Keighley Bus Museum

Timetable for Team Pennine's 262 service is now online on the Transdevbus website. Transdev marketing the service as "Kirkheaton Quick", however, compared to the existing Arriva 261 service, the journey time from Huddersfield to Upper Heaton is two minutes quicker on the 262 ( 19 minutes compared to Arriva's 21) and exactly the same time on the way to Huddersfield (23 minutes). Departure times are fairly evenly spread apart at the moment departing Huddersfield, timed at xx10 (261) and xx35 (262). However, from Upper Heaton they are timed at xx40 (261) and xx54 (262). images.transdevbus.co.uk/downloads/Kirkheaton%20Quick%20Web%20TT%205-Sep-2021_1.pdfwww.wymetro.com/buses/timetables/261Can't really compare timetables for another 2 weeks when Arriva issues the 261's new timetable. The timings of the Team Pennine 262 though shows easy transion to First's 262 trips on a night.

I'm not sure why, I thought the 262 was going to be half-hourly.

I'm not sure why, I thought the 262 was going to be half-hourly. Isn't it the Arriva 261 that's been announced as going half-hourly? Maybe that's where the confusion arose?

Tweet today by Alex Hornby listing a summary of service changes etc from September includes Rosso "contract work with TfGM strengthened with refurbished Solos introduced" so the ex Tiger ones might be going to pastures new.

Yes, that is what I expected - maybe thought the 574 would be included in the group. The new buses will make life easier for the drivers on the narrow roads encountered on all these routes.

It might be, or they may just be used interchangeably with refurbished Solos, nobody at this stage really knows

We are progressing through these improvements but weeks before they took over Yorkshire tiger did not Really have these issues it's because on the launch day there was also a fleet shuffle. The vehicles that have moved to the main Arriva Fleet before the takeover; Solo SRs 406-410, MCV Evolutions 663-667, Versas 791-795 and e200MMCs 1070-1075 all have loads wrong and are always breaking down the 406-410 been the worst ones it seems as they don't go more than a full week or fortnight max before breaking down. It'll be really bad as the last week Team Pennine have been advertising for more engineers to join the team. In other words there's a now a mixture of reliable buses and bad buses at both depots.

It is the 261 going half-hourly between Huddersfield & Kirkheaton. I think Arriva was actually on about the combined frequency. The 261 is probably going to be changed to coordinate a half hourly service with the 262 between Huddersfield & Kirkheaton. This assumption being based on what? Arriva’s tweet posted early in this thread clearly states they are increasing their own service. I don’t think they were advertising the new competitor’s service.

Makes sense I was just confused. Does this mean the Eclipse buses will stop running? It will do. It will have to be restricted down to the Solo SRs and e200s 1058-1060.

Tiger some times ran double decker on 262 short that dont go under the bridge and 1100 to 1112 already run on 261 The eclipses are too long for the terminus outside the Doctors surgery at Upper Heaton let alone too long for the route in general. The low Railway bridge is next to Mirfield Railway Station. Tiger, Huddersfield Bus Company/Centrebus and Stagecoach/Yorkshire Traction never used deckers on the full 262/X62. Tiger & HBC only used deckers on the shorts. Even before Tiger withdrew the 262 it was always primarily Solos & Evolutions on the shorts. When K-line did their last stint on the shorts before Honley got wrapped up it was primarily Solos or the Caetano Nimbus (594) used.

The Sprytes & Mylenniums are shorter than eclipses as are Commanders, Cadets.

I'm still confused why they can use Eclipses on an hourly service, but when it goes to half hourly they will be banned?

Because they are too large for the terminus outside the Doctor's surgery at Upper Heaton Im also confused as they use the terminus as part of the route now. The actual end and start of the route is a stop on a main road and all long and short use the terminus outside the doctors

Nothing wrong with Eclipses on the 261 route, like has been mentioned, long DAF's used to be used on the old 262, plus years ago when Heckmondwike did two journeys from Huddersfield to Mirfield during Tracky days, Dennis Lances were used, which were about the same length as the Eclipses.

Fantastic as usual by Transdev. The MMC looks brilliant. I love the pink. Fantastic, absolutely fantastic, nice to see this part of yorkshire being getting the treatment it deserves, after the neglect by Arriva for the last few years. Love the branding. Keep it up Alex and the team! I hope Team Pennine stays like this! Can't wait to see the tempos! Looks like 1231 and the eclipses or 721 & 722 will still be used on Holmfirth Explorer for this week at least as there's delays with the supplier for completing the final preparations

I don't think even the top Transdev haters out there can deny that these vehicles are looking very sharp. Looking forward to seeing them in person, as I haven't been to that area since they took over yet.

Just seen a pic of 2 of the Tempos on twitter for Holmfirth Exlporer with 1407 having the Last Of The Summer Wine original character Foggy Dewhirst (played by the late Brian Wilde for 2 stints the character appeared) on the back.

Sorry for another positive post but it's incredible to see Transdev paying homage to what made Holmfirth famous! Glad to see it paying tribute to the brilliant Last of the Summer Wine. Quite agree, but i have to say it was Compo (Bill Owen) who was the real star of the show. I too think Transdev have done a brilliant job with Team Pennine so far, the livery and various branding's are simply outstanding and once the refurbs are complete this will represent a real step change in quality to what Yorkshire Tiger offered.
