So no truth in the rumor that HJC were considering a New predominantly Red Based Livery to significantly reduce repainting costs on their secondhand fleet

More good news for another MCW, another year or more for B217 WUL's life as it is going for a partial repaint & MOT renewal.

Shame they didn't have the initiative to adopt a low floor livery variation.
For all it looks nice and shiny, to the ordinary passenger there is nothing to suggest that this any different to the rest of the fleet. Could easily have been no 14 with a repaint.
They could still use the same colours but use a different design. Still this is HJC we are talking about.

Personally, i like it.
I think having the cream line positioned where it is so it is at indicator height is the best place for it.

They can't use a different style of livery as these are the old Halifax Corporation colours & style and you can't go changing it. The proprieter certianly doesn't want to change the livery just because it is a Low-Floor bus, some lettering on the front will be as far as he will go. More good news for another MCW, another year or more for B217 WUL's life as it is going for a partial repaint & MOT renewal. Can they not stretch to a full repaint? It is now in Leeds getting a FULL repaint!

Well, the Locals (Especially the older generation) won't like it not been original & there is nothing much you can do with the livery anyway & why change it, they have already had an old livery but changed it in 2002. Do you see other small independant operators modifying their livery for no apparent reason?

Double Standards this, cannot change the livery yet they can run buses in the livery in which they arrive because they can't afford to repaint them!

That is only temporary though, there is nothing wrong with running around in livery's that are from other operators because people understand it is from another company (Talk on the Claremount "Have you seen that red London bus with no steps") but when you change a livery that already exists locally there is no point.

How is the above Talk on the Claremount any different from Have you seen that HJC bus with the Red Stripe, that's the bus with no step!!!!!!!!!!!

Well passengers will be able to tell with the Cream stripe & If "Wheelchair Freindly" Text is applied on the front. All I am saying is why change the livery just because it is Low-Floor... Just put text on the front.

Oh Yes I forgot about the 28A route, So they could just buy a sticker & stick it where it was when in London red.

One for you Matty, Can't HJC afford some paint to re-paint the repaired damaged offside front window panel on G547 VBB. It wouldn't take much

I don't know but It has been like that over a year now & It can hardly be seen unless you look at it for a bit or on a photo, so I would say there is no point them doing it even though it needs doing. It will probably suffer more damage in years to come.
They have plenty of paint btw.
