NYC have finally updated their "upcoming changes" page with the April changes, and it's something of a dog's dinner, with any services that have a change of operator being listed twice, and several entries not making sense, including: - 81, new East Yorkshire service replacing CastleLine, but route description is for Lonsdale Buses 81. - 59 and 864 Dalesbus, reference to summer timetable, but these are all-year services. View AttachmentNorth Yorkshire Council have announced the A59 will not be reopening before the end of June.

There are changes to the 864 for Summer, though, with minor timing changes and the 1730 from Skipton becoming an 873. Isn't that just a timetable change, though? It's only a summer timetable if it's going to revert back to what it has been up to now in October... They usually change the times of the 864 (previously 884) twice a year, at the beginning and end of Summer, though it's not always the same each year.

They usually change the times of the 864 (previously 884) twice a year, at the beginning and end of Summer, though it's not always the same each year. Normally with the 864 [ex 884], it's more of a major change for summer as generally it hasn't ran all the way to Malham over the winter months, whereas it has this time round so the changes are less impactful from winter to summer times. Slightly mythed as to why they made the last departure off Skipton an 864 this winter when generally its always been an 873 on the summer timetable, feel like it was just a default as it would be an 864 normally in winter, despite now having another 864, 15 mins prior.

VOSA have finally accepted 21 Transports registration of the 8, but none of rest as yet. That NYC revised service list is a complete shambles.

?? There's no mention of Bishop Monkton on that page. It's a shame that, having gone to the expense of getting Best Impressions to design timetable leaflets for them, they haven't got the PDFs on their website, but hopefully that's just a matter of time and they will appear shortly.

?? There's no mention of Bishop Monkton on that page. They have obviously edited since I posted; it had sections headed York to Boroughbridge and Boroughbridge to Ripon with Bishop Monkton listed under the latter when it should have been under the 56 182

The new 4 at Harrogate despite running from Stand 1 is being worked by the Volvo Electrics. Going by bustimes scheduling the first and last three workings are the same vehicle which the rest of the day time is working every other one interworking with the 6.

Ex-Diamond Bus Mellor Strata LS68 FOV working the No.8. Photo here: flic.kr/p/2pJ2UdGOne issue with this allocation is with the engine being at the front, half of the doorway is behind the railings in Harrogate Bus Station Also noted was also ex Diamond Strata LS68 FON working the 190 in Malton (although still had Diamond destinations in the blind, meaning 190 on paper displayed in the windscreen). Ex Phoenix Coaches Mellor Orion SJ16BGX also appeared in Harrogate for a driver changeover on the 8: flic.kr/p/2pJ2UNQAnd of course, East Yorkshire have branded up the buses used on their gained contracts with 'North Rider' names: flic.kr/p/2pHXrqsHodgsons being pretty much what you'd expect, supposedly some Sprinters have been acquired but unsure if its for this work or not (no tracking on the new routes sadly and didn't see the services they'd be likely do anyway).

As they've taken on 4 vehicles' worth of work that usually used to be run by minibuses (18, 59/60, 147/150 and 155) it wouldn't be at all surprising, although depending on what type of Sprinters it would be disappointing if the move to a "proper" bus company didn't bring with it the requirement to use wheelchair-accessible buses, which several of NYC's own fleet aren't.

Were they that poorly used or is it anti social behaviour.

It's not on there nowadays but it was on the Metro alerts page for a good few weeks recently. I've never liked Tyersal, can't put my finger on it but it's a bit of a strange area so I'm not surprised if trouble happens there, don't forget Holmewood is just a short walk away so trouble probably meets up with trouble a bit like trouble from Gipton probably meets up with trouble from Seacroft.
