To keep fleet changes on topic, I thought it would be a great idea to create this thread! Ask questions, chit-chat about rumours, operations, and etc…

Has anyone seen what Dales & District are using on their new Ripon city services? The publicity talked about new minibuses, but obviously there's nothing tracking because they're still in the stone age (and a week after launch, still haven't got round to putting a timetable on their own website)...

Was on a B9 in Huddersfield, missed the fleet number and plate It seemed to sound like a hoovering streetlite/streetdeck. Have first started to replace the fans with electric ones?

Euro6 converted B9s are all fitted with e-fans which come on as needed. Some of the 376xx and 377xx ones are E6 converted however not all are. All guidewheel fitted B9s (37083-087/291-296/727/731) are E6.

I didn't know Tetley's had a Dennis Dart, I saw it on the Wakefield City Bus a few months back, extremely surprised to see it, usually the stand ins for the Solo SR's are the red solos.

Random question but why is YJ54 XTZ is substantially more powerful than it’s siblings? Is there any reason behind it? Here’s a video of it on YouTube, probably the only good one we had, other than the awesome zest vehicles!

Some of the older 04 Leeds Gemini’s when transferred out now Skegness open toppers sound the same youtu.be/OGtj0o36eD0 That link will take you to what was Leeds Gemini 32455 ( now stagecoachs 16962 ). Still has kickdown.

Have any vehicles from first been freed up anywhere in the country? With the BSIP, and apparently a vehicle shortage already in FWY… I’m gonna guess they’re going to need the extra vehicles from some other operation of First? I’m pretty sure the rule about orders for diesel has kicked in so new buses are completely off the table until the depots receive electrification.

The electric orders are now starting to arrive what will soon be freeing up vehicles to move within the fleet for service improvements (at the moment they are either directly or indirectly replacing Streetlites & E300s to go off lease). Now they own Ensign it opens up the possibility of further 2nd hand stock as well plus depending on the results for Manchester Franchising 'area B' (what includes Oldham) in a few months time there is always the chance they do a Diamond & start withdrawing early to free up vehicles.

What makes you think their fleet will need to increase? Because 503 is becoming more frequent with more frequent 501 and a new X3 service, as well as a 538 service. Plus they definitely don't have enough vehicles to run the services because they just lost 69370 and a few of their B7TLs.

Just to point there's still a couple of Months to go yet before the proposed BSIP changes including 501/503/X3/538 as they are stated to take place in September.

I’m sure the entire FirstBus empire across the country will find some buses to cascade in from somewhere. Somewhere random like Essex could lose a few school contracts or a service in Glasgow receives a reduced frequency, could be anything.

The Bramley electrics are now confirmed rather than rumoured, With them gaining GB Kites SDs (Fleet No. 63569-63600) from the original funding plus 25 Electroliner DDs from the Ex-Arriva MK funding.

mattb7tl - You posted a video of 32511 being fast, usually depends on the driver. I found most of the 325s to all have similar performance across fleet. Here is definitely not me giving 66783 a good run a few years ago. 1:00 & 2:05 are particularly nice.

Does anyone know the current status of Selby based 1501, not tracked since the end of March. Is it out in service tracking as spare or another bus, or is it long term off road, accident/mechanical. It’s one of the last eight Arriva Yorkshire buses that I haven’t travelled on.

Is anyone up to date on the ZEBRA situation for the electric buses coming out of WYCA funding? Apparently, they are due for Todmorden, Hebden Bridge and Holmfirth (including 335). Anybody know if any depots have worked on installing electrification as of yet as they are due in 2024. Also does anybody know what's going on with Arriva's ZEBRA funding they haven't even trialled an electric bus yet?
This along with Millwood depot Electrification would mean the whole Calder Valley will be electric apart from B3, 901 and 7.
