81 returning 5th September. Run by squarepeg. I shall be able to ride route 205 with TLC instead of Arriva and route 81 with SquarePeg instead of CT Plus. There will of course be modern Bradford StreetDecks in Pudsey too.

New registration from Harrogate Coach Travel (Connexions): Service number.61, 61A Service type Normal Stopping Start point St James Hospital Finish point John Charles Stadium Via Hunslet Date received 26 Aug 2022 Effective date 05 Sep 2022 Supported by subsidies? Yes One thing that has just struck me. Connexions have taken on the 61 at the same time as using driver shortages as the reason for cuts to some of their existing services, X52 still not running beyond Otley etc. I get the 61 is tendered and therefore guaranteed income, but i imagine passengers on the X52 who now have to change in Otley or on other routes with frequency cuts would be annoyed they've started another service while theirs is still reduced?

That's true plus it seems like some dead mileage unless it's interworking with 64.

Some clown at Connecting Leeds/WYCA doesn't know what happens when buses on the 7 series park up on Infirmary Street. From September 18th, the lone stop on City Square itself, yes the only stop that can actually be called City Square is set to be removed with the 4/16 etc using the current stop where the 7 series buses stop on Infirmary Street, and the 7 group moving to the first stop on Boar Lane, yes that stop that's not big enough to hold 2 buses when an early 7 arrives to find a 7A for example not yet ready to set off. Good job the full frequency isn't in place! Am I right in thinking that stop is being used for other services too?

Just checked and that stop is currently out of use, however I'm very sure this was the stop for the X98/9 before they got moved one stop on apparently on a temp basis whilst the roadworks on Boar Lane took place. If they move back to the corner stop then that'll bugger up buses turning from City Square into Boar Lane, as well as those allowed to turn from Bishopsgate Street into Boar Lane once all roads have been completed. Personally, the 7 series don't need to start from that stop as it's a short distance to the other Boar Lane stop so they might as well start there.

They are also involved with Zeelo zeelo.co/ - have seen one of their vehicles way off any normal route of theirs in north Harrogate in the afternoon and again twice in the evening in Starbeck a good hour plus after the last X1 whatever with Zeelo on the destination board with no other explanation.

Zeelo are at Flaxby and it is a contract to run Flaxby to Harrogate via Starbeck.
