Such a sad loss to the forum How is it when there's agression towards a company especially when they have employees on here. Critism on here about companies are done constructively, sensibily and most importantly with consideration of the employees who are on here as members

My comment above is now irrelevant because it refers to a post which has been deleted.

I worked in the bus industry for nearly 50 years and generally employees from top to bottom went to great lengths to keep services running and avoid lost mileage. This is unfortunately the opposite of the general publics opinion.

What happened? Why is everyone suddenly talking abt swearing? Have you been living under a rock or something..... sorry couldn't resist lol. Basically someone frustrated with Arriva, and most probably the cutbacks, told Arriva where to go on here, and it wasn't a polite 'they should go away' lol. It's a good job the ** was programmed to appear.

As do I however I was away for a few days and by the time I returned the posts had been deleted, definitely for the best but having found out what was said I was quite disgusted by it.

it will more than likely be a temporary move due to staffing. Connexions has already said temporary timetables are coming in for the64 and X70 to help with driver volumes whilst new staff are recruited and trained as for making sure schools are covered as they've gained a fair amount of West Yorks school routes in recent months hence why the X52 and Otleys are deckers majority of the time atm.

Nobody seemed to mention that Nexus Move Saddleworth, will be running an evening service 184 from Marsden Peel Street to Oldham from 25th April 2022.

I wonder why there's a need for such a random late bus, after all late buses are available from Oldham to Uppermill on other services, so the only other places to serve are 2 villages, with Diggle close enough (something like a mile) to an evening bus on the 350 for Oldham and on the 356 route from Uppermill as well.

Mondays to Saturdays it runs and the timetable is from Oldham. Combined with 184 the service is around 55-65 minutes apart from the Nexus buses. The last journey runs to Diggle: Oldham - Marsden Show all stops Oldham Bus Station (Stand D) 20:05 22:05 Oldham Mumps Interchange (Stop F) 20:10 22:10 Greenacres Cemetery (opp) 20:17 22:17 Cross Bank, opp St John's 20:20 22:20 Lees, at County End 20:22 22:22 Grotton, nr Brooklands Parade 20:25 22:25 Uppermill Turning Area (in) 20:33 22:33 Diggle, nr Sunfield Lane 20:40 22:40 Marsden Peel Street (stop M1) 20:47 Timetable from Marsden: Marsden Peel Street (stop M2) 21:01 Diggle, opp Sunfield Lane 21:11 Uppermill Commercial Hotel (Stop B) 21:20 Grotton, opp Brooklands Parade 21:29 Lees, by County End 21:32 Lees, o/s The Grapes 21:35 Greenacres Cemetery (o/s) 21:38 Oldham Mumps Interchange (Stop C) 21:46 Oldham Bus Station (Stand F) 21:50

Thanks for bringing it to our attention. GMPTE haven't added it to their timetable yet - it looks like it'll run a couple of hours later than First's last bus from Oldham (at 1803) - 3 hours on a Saturday (at 1703) - but only 45 minutes later than the last bus from Marsden to Oldham on a Monday to Friday - 1h45 on a Saturday. assets.ctfassets.net/nv7y93idf4jq/nWhl0ty5YqoDTMjGBgNdr/5c4e3cd6a22bc24e1f28af1ce9f11800/84__180__184__X84_22-SC-0163.pdf

NEW TIMES FOR FIRST BUS IN WEST YORKSHIRE
Despite the wymetro blurb giving the impression that only times are altered by up to five minutes, it looks like several trips are being removed from the timetable early morning and in the evening.
I've only had chance to look at
607 where the first and third early morning journeys to Bradford are withdrawn
616 (615) some evening journeys aren't running
686 (688) some evening journeys aren't running

Can anybody verify for me if the First service changes this weekend are temporary or permanent - it seems very unclear from their own website.

X63 has been reduced from every 12 mins to every 15 mins at peak times (was every 10 mins before COVID)
Evening journeys on service 686 are being withdrawn meaning the buses from Bradford towards Wyke and Brighouse (688, 363) now leave at 17 and 25 past the hour, which is not exactly ideally spaced

I'm super confused about this change since the X63 is always near enough full

But then the last two journeys are now 22:32 (616) and 22:36 (615), meaning they're just 4 minutes apart along Thornton Road (until 4 lane ends when the 616 heads off up Allerton Road), 7 minutes apart when they meet back up at Sandy Lane, and then 2 minutes apart as they race from Bingley station up to Eldwick via their respective routes. Crazy!

No need for xx59 departures, all departures should be block numbers. Should be what? Think the phase is clockface departures as in xx.00,xx.05,xx,10 & so on up to xx.55
