Come on then, what are we all predicting will be ordered? I think Transdev may go with BYD Enviro 200 EVs for their single deck upgrades. They're just more stylish and attractive than the rather gaunt-looking Yutongs. Maybe BYD E400 EVs with an MMC body instead of a City body (not sure if ADL offer this at the moment) for the 36. This would of course bring it in line with CityZap and WitchWay. First are to going to trial an Arrival vehicle soon I believe, so wouldn't be surprised with that. I'm not confident on what small electric buses are on the market for Stotts. Do BYD/ ADL offer an E200 EV Dart Size? Arriva will probably buy pedal powered, battery assisted buses made out of turnips and make the passengers pedal while they get whipped like slaves building the Egyptian pyramids, whilst paying for the privilege of course. Stotts could go for Mellor's new vehicle, the Sigma, as it's available in 6 variations. But Stotts are not part of the Zebra bid. There’s a separate proposal for zero emission buses for Calderdale and Kirklees as part of the Transforming Cities Fund, wether that still covers the two networks mentioned in the map for the draft bid isn’t clear especially as TLC now have a new non electric contract for the Tod/HB routes.

I'm not too sure when things are being ordered. However, if the electroliner is released by the time Leeds starts buying vehicles I have a slight feeling they will buy them.

However they appear to have an EV version of the Strata called the 'Orion'. the Orion and Tucan range were done before Strata as they used go be bluebird options. Strata is a seperate model

I'm not sure about ADLs for Transdev as they will be needing something with a better range (The BYD/ADL range currently offer the smallest range on the market) & with them converting route 36,range will definitely be a factor in what they purchase. Possibly Wright Streetdeck electrics or they could try the new Volvo BZL? For the Holmefirth/Calder Valley routes ADL Don't currently make an electric mini but theres the Merc Sprinter/EVM,The Mellor Range,Optare/Switch do both a mini-Metrocity & Solo SR EVs or theres also the new Higer Steed.

So the breakdown for WY is as follows (confirmed by the Mayor today):
Arriva = 47 Double Deckers
First = 32 Single Deckers
Transdev = 32 Single Deckers.

They have been untouched at the back of Starbeck depot for a while.

Why does it matter when they'll be ready unless you want all the electric buses ready at once? You brought those two buses up when someone said they wouldn't be able to run electric buses on all routes.

It will be interesting to see what happens to the current (relatively young) 36s when replaced. They're not exactly good for anything else in the Transdev network, and I think the leasing company will have trouble shifting them as well.

The B5's on the 36 could oust any remaining B9's from Coastliner (if there are any), B7's and B9's from Keighley etc.
Versa's from Flyer could replace older B7RLE's at Keighley.
The CAZ Bradford is introducing will affect the 60 and 67 as well as the soon to be electrified 662.
Out of interest, with the obvious exceptions of the Sprinters and Solo's, do Keighley have any Euro6 diesels?

Of the original 36 vehicles the 2006 3613 was leased and that found a new home with Mitchell of Plean before quickly moving to M-Line of Alloa and then Westbus of Hayes. In all cases carrying the X13VTD registration.

There are remaining 3 Coastliner B9s (and amazingly one 05-reg B7, which is only used occasionally) – and a further 3 POTN B9s in either York or Malton, which look to be on Coastliner duties most days with some turns on Zap or 20. Did the 08-reg Geminis used on the Aireline get modified for Euro VI, as they run into Leeds? I can't see anything else that looks likely. PendleWizz is another destination that could welcome some ex-36 buses, as they are currently using 05-reg B7TLs on that route.

I think ZEBRA is more about electric vehicles rather than euro standards. Euro 6 vehicles still produce a fairly large amount of pollution.

Euro 6 vehicles still produce a fairly large amount of pollution. You're right, but the original point re:Euro 6 was that Harrogate is going fully electric, whereas Keighley has a few routes (60, 67 and 662) that will be affected by the CAZ being introduced shortly by Bradford Council and will therefore need Euro 6 buses to avoid the daily charge to enter with a non compliant vehicle, although obviously the 662 is also going electric. I was querying whether any of the fleet to be displaced from Harrogate could come to Keighley and how many compliant vehicles Keighley currently have. While typing this, it also strikes me that Keighley operate a decent number of school services within the zone, which presumably will also need to be compliant. I believe Bradford Council were offering operators money to fund exhaust upgrades, so it may well be that some/most of Keighley's school buses have been treated or are due to be, but the question still remains how many Euro 6 buses have they already got and how will they make the 60 and 67 compliant if they haven't got enough? (Though I think the B9's on Aireline are as Leeds was planning on a CAZ of its own, but they never seem to have enough to cover all boards, with at least 1, often more, B7's out as well).

School buses are exempt from the Bradford CAZ That just smacks in the face of typical double standards from typical councilors, the one major thing this zone is to be introduced for, e.g. to protect the health of kids going forward, is compromsed when the vehicles they travel on won't need to meet clean air standards. So, operators can continue to park up with any old vehicle for school use outside schools even with dirty engines running, bet the press would have a field day if they pick up on this one.
