After its stint at Keighley, Mercedes Demonstrator MB21 BUS should be heading over to Flyer for trials there. Going by an Alex Hornby tweet today, it appears that the 662 will be receiving new buses reasonably soon. I had a ride on the Demo today and was thoroughly impressed. The journey I took was rammed with passengers and the vehicle handled it without any issues. The only fault was on the operational side of things (the bus was running very late, as were a lot of the journeys). yep Shuttle & Flyer are priorites thanks to Bradford CAZ in part but it's also to with the funding each PTE gained recently through the Zebra scheme. The first 15 for Transdev West Yorks arrive this year and the last 17 next year. The plan for Harrogate is to turn it in to an electric fleet by the end of the year.

I wouldn't say Flyer was a priority for electric buses, as, with the exception of the 12 plate Versa and the occasional loaned Volvo, the rest of the fleet is already Euro 6 so not affected by the CAZ.
The 662, on the other hand, is very much a priority. Although, they'll need to ensure the 67 is compliant too.

I feel that the application for the electric bus funding may be so that Transdev could get as many electrics as possible subsidised, probably for marketing; and also may be that the Versas could be transferred elsewhere to replace ageing fleets.

Totally, but as for which depot gets their electric buses first, I'd say Keighley is more of priority than Flyer.

The 'YappApp' Facebook page reported there being a fire on a 36 bus on Thursday. The photos didn't show any obvious sign of fire damage so doesn't appear to have been a write-off situation. I'm unsure of the fleet no. /?app=fbl

3620 'Gareth Southgate' - a binding brake calliper apparently and the fire service called as a precaution - oddly however that was yesterday so why is the tweet Thursday? Service according the bustimes was the 0528 from Starbeck.
