I'm told that First West Yorkshire are going to be receiving the following new buses over the coming months
33873-33890 Enviro 400s - for bramley
47493-47500 Wright Streetlites - for Huddersfield
49901-49912 Optare Versa - for York
63146-63156 Wright Streetlite Max - unknown location
All new types for First in this area
63147, 63148, 63151, 63152, 63155 have already arrived at the docks. The Versas were in build a while ago, the Enviro 400s are thought to be arriving in August after being loaned to Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games.

Always nice to have new buses, but i do hope when the Streetlites arrive in Huddersfield it isn't at the expense of the Royale's.

They wouldn't directly replace the Royales, they'll be used on fairly high profile town work probably. I would not be surprised if they replaced some B7RLEs for cascade elsewhere, leaving the oldest buses in place, as that's generally how these things work.
An interesting note is that there are no Royales booked for anything but schools now in Huddersfield, any that do appear are in reality misallocations.

Think the StreetLites will most likely end up displacing 8 RLE's onto work currently employing ALX400s, to allow them to go onto Holmfirths

Bradford just got their delayed B7RLEs as well,as a result of these new arrivals there could be a few casades of older buses to Bradford and Halifax. I must admit it does annoy me a bit that Leeds gets more new buses than everyone else, would not might seeing Gemini 2s and E400s working of Bradford, Halifax and Huddersfield depots

Simon - I would hardly call the 10 Volvo / Wright Eclipse 2 cheap - don't know the exact figures, but VDL Pulsars / Enviro 200s etc will cost less.

That is interesting, as there's no daily diagram that doesn't involve Royale's on Huddersfield service's 181/183/185 and Holme Valley's 31x bank of service's. Indeed, certainly in the Colne Valley Royale's have been on the regular service's mentioned above, whilst the ALX400's have handled the school duties. Perhap's you have been misinformed.

63146-63156 have been diverted to Greater Manchester and 63148/50 were parked up at Bolton yesterday, Rusholme depot is their expected destination!

Spoke to an OFL employee, who lives near to me at teatime. He say's "the word" in the depot is, if and when the new Streetlite's appear, then eight of the 05 plate batch B7RLE's will leave OFL. He also mentioned one of the Royale's (he couldn't identify which, offhand) will be withdrawn shortly due to having major engine problems, and it being deemed an uneconomic repair.

Officially the Royales are on schools and ALX400s are in service, that'll be what the accountants are told. In reality the opposite occurs, probably due to how popular the Royales are with drivers climbing the hills compared to a B7TL.

As the Streetlites are in the shorter 47 series rather than longer 63 series, I wonder whether they will replace Darts? The E400s are a surprise after Leeds received 98 Volvo B9TLs in 2012.
York will seem quite exotic with Versas joining Mercedes bendis and Gemini integrals 39001-05!

The 47 series Streetlite's you refer to are destined for Huddersfield, where there have been no Dart's since the R reg SPD's were withdrawn last year.

If they are going on the 301/302 Golcar circulars, they should have ordered the Max version instead.

8 Streetlites for 8 Olympians at Huddersfield. Makes sense. Maybe the second FWY depot after Hunslet Park to have an all accessible fleet.

Look out for a "Borismaster" on loan at Hunslet Park shortly, will be used as a demonstator and odd journeys on route 1.

It certainly will! It`s all to do with the First alternative to the trolleybus proposal, not sure whether it will carry a special green Leeds livery or run in London red.

Info at work today, when Huddersfield receive the new Streetlites, the 69 series Eclipse 2s are being transferred to Halifax, no doubt to enable Halifax workings on the Calder valley to be operarted by these buses.
