It certainly will! It`s all to do with the First alternative to the trolleybus proposal, not sure whether it will carry a special green Leeds livery or run in London red. I noticed a red Borismaster in a Volvo dealership n Manchester at the weekend. It had First Manchester decals so don't know if its that one.

It possibly might be, I think First will want it on the road during the NGT Public Enquiry which starts on the 29th April and runs for a month.

Info at work today, when Huddersfield receive the new Streetlites, the 69 series Eclipse 2s are being transferred to Halifax, no doubt to enable Halifax workings on the Calder valley to be operarted by these buses. Does this mean that the Streetlites are due to work route 328? I hope they are in service in time for the August Bank Holiday weekend!

If they are going on the 301/302 Golcar circulars, they should have ordered the Max version instead.

If the Streetlites for Huddersfield are for route 328, they will be too small for that particular service. The Streetlites, I think for 323/327/342/356/358/360 and 387 daytime routes to replace 7 allotted vehicles on those services.

Why will they be too small, they have 2 or 3 less seats than an Eclipse 2 I believe.

The thing is, When the Eclipse 2's were introduced onto the 328, last year, First did so with a press launch in Huddersfield proclaiming the benefits of the e-leather seating and free wi-fi etc, which to the best of my knowledge the new Streetlite's do not have. Which, if im right in my thinking, means they won't be deployed on the 328, as this would be seen as a retrograde step by First and could alienate passengers. Just a theory as yet, But perhap's the Eclipse 2's at Hudds will remain there and stay on the 328, and the proposed transfer to Halifax for the Calder Valley's could consist of 69307/8/323/4/9/30 and 69419 (apology's for any missed,or incorrect fleet no's). This might mean the Streetlite's enter service on the X63/363, thereby displacing the near 10yr old B7TL/Gemini's incumbent on that route, which, (in theory) would allow the remaining Royale's to be withdrawn.

I would seriously doubt that the Streetlites would be used on the X63. My guess would be the routes that were previously Dart services, although most of those are second rate services so would they receive new buses or the 328. The streetlites do have leather seating.
Transferring those other vehicles to Halifax would be a waste of time as to the average punter they look no different to the existing B7RLEs and don't have leather seats/current interiors.
Bear in mind by the time they arrive, about a dozen concrete plans will have been discussed so I'd wait and see. Plans usually change because another depot suddenly needs a certain type of vehicle.

Possibly, I was just "theorising" that's all. still cant see the 328 losing it's Eclipse 2's though.

All new First vehicles corm as standard with leather seats and WiFi.

I was in Glasgow last Saturday, on a day out from my B&B in Edinburgh. I caught the train back via Airdrie and Bathgate. I twice saw an Enviro 400 heading east, maybe the same one or maybe different ones. I think they may have been examples on the way to Leeds.
It will be interesting if some E400s do indeed upgrage route 50. It will mean the ITV Yorkshire studios will for example see modern Volvo B9TLs on the south side on route 33 and E400s on the north side on route 50!

I have now heard that they are for the 16, with overflow to be used also on 4/49/50, and that they will replace all ALX400s and possibly also some early YJ04 Geminis to Huddersfield/Halifax. Guess it is a case of wait & see!
